I used Expert Flyer to find dates, then booked on ANA. Could also use Singaporeair.com

I must admit, at this point, any suspension of reward redemption on partner airlines becomes suspicious, since UA itself is now implementing a new mileage redemption algorithm.

As stated, I was updating my situation which was originally tied to not showing space on United. I couldn't book Thai, read up a few. In case anyone was having issues with this and being blocked from a flight on their itinerary, there are alternatives such as booking with ANA.

Has anyone else had any problems getting AC awards to work? I've found a flight that has 4 seats in I class (partner business award), Avianca see it, ANA see it, ExpertFlyer sees it. I only need one seat. But if I'm logged into United.com the flight doesn't even appear in the search results. If I'm not logged in it appears in the results but with no availability in business.
First call I made to United the agent couldn't find the flight but eventually did. We got to the point of pricing when she got cut off. Phoning back, I've had 3 agents so far who swear blind that there is no business award availability for that flight, despite ANA/Avianca/Expertflyer all showing availability. Two agents have looked on other dates (all of which show availability on other websites) and can't see anything.
It's really frustrating. I wish there was a better formula than continually calling back.

Also, if assume you get tickets on same flights thru UR portal for 10000 UR more points , would you take that route or still transfer and book as award flights? I assume booking thru UR website will get us travel miles.
