Terms and Conditions

* For this promotion, only dollars spent on the "fare" on eligible flights operated by United and United Express will qualify toward meeting spending milestones. Certain specialty tickets, including but not limited to unpublished, consolidator/bulk, group, tour and opaque fares, will not be counted towards spending milestones. Dollars spent on tickets purchased for flights operated by a Star Alliance member airline or a MileagePlus partner airline with tickets issued by United (ticket number starting with "016") will not qualify for this offer. The "fare" is the base fare of the ticket plus carrier-imposed surcharges, excluding any government-imposed taxes and surcharges. For tickets purchased in a currency other than U.S. dollars, we will convert the purchase to U.S. dollars using an industry-standard exchange rate. Please note that the price displayed when purchasing a ticket on united.com includes up to a 7.5% U.S. Federal Transportation Tax on the base amount of the fare on itineraries wholly within the United States. This tax also applies to certain itineraries between the United States and Canada or Mexico. The U.S. Federal Transportation tax will not count toward meeting any spending milestone.

** For this promotion, bonus award miles will be awarded for each spending milestone that has been met, subject to the terms and conditions. Milestone bonuses may be earned only once. Partial bonuses will not be awarded for members who don't reach a certain milestone. All calculations made in connection with this offer will be made by United MileagePlus® in its discretion and considered final.

Only original recipients of this email invitation can register and participate in this promotion.
Registration is required by November 15, 2016. Only tickets purchased and ticketed after registration and within the ticketing dates will qualify.
Ticketing and dates: May 25, 2016, through November 30, 2016.
Dollars earned toward this promotion will count as Premier® qualifying dollars toward MileagePlus Premier status qualification, but do not guarantee status. All other qualification requirements must be met for the applicable Premier® status.
This offer is not combinable with other non-combinable offers.
Bonus award miles will post to your account six to eight weeks after the promotion ends on November 30, 2016. Bonus will be calculated using the originally ticketed fares and/or fare classes, as applicable, and subsequent changes to any fares and/or fare classes as a result of itinerary changes, complimentary or paid upgrades, purchase of travel products (including but not limited to United ClubSM, Premier Access®, Award Accelerator®, Premier AcceleratorSM), irregular operations or otherwise will not be considered.

<redacted e-ticket verbiage>

If you received complimentary Premier status:

Your complimentary status is one level higher than the MileagePlus membership status reflected in your MileagePlus account on May 7, 2016. Your status will be not be increased to any other level in connection with this offer. Qualifying for a higher status level than the complimentary status awarded in connection with this offer requires meeting the published qualification thresholds for Premier status.
The complimentary status is valid through January 31, 2017.
A Premier membership card and kit will be not issued for the complimentary status period. Your new benefits will be reflected in your Mileage Plus account once you log in and you may enjoy Premier benefits on United- or United Express-operated flights by providing your account number when making reservations or at check-in.
During the complimentary status period, you may not have access to all reciprocal Premier benefits with United's partner airlines, including access to Star Alliance lounges.

Thanks for the link, radioactive!

Surprisingly I was able to register and received the following offer:

$5500 -> 16,000 miles
$6000 -> 24,000 miles
$8500 -> 39,000 miles

Too bad I did not see this last week as I just booked $6k+ worth of travel. But I guess this is one of the better offers, and expect to have more later this year, so I can't complain

Has anyone figured out how the targets were calculated? I had about $12k EQD last year, but maybe $1k to date this year. At my rate this is essentially a 3-4 mile bonus per $1 of EQD, which basically brings me up to 1K level ^^

Really wish there was a tracking portal (like SPG does with the promo dashboard) to see the progress. (take note UAInsider)

$5,000 -> 67,000 miles
$8,500 -> 101,000 miles
$19,000 -> 167,000 miles

335,000 miles for $32,500 is insane. If I shift my Asia travel to United I'll probably make it - just wish I had seen this thread last week before I booked some upcoming trips.

Will they keep track of a few hours difference? I saw this a few hours after I booked travel for well over $2K . I cannot cancel and rebook as I booked it through company travel site and also applied/cleared GPUs.

Seems pretty clear in my email: "To be eligible, flights must be purchased after registration and flown before November 30, 2016."

I think I can guess the answer, but has anyone confirmed whether this is total spend or just for the offer recipient? In other words, if I am traveling with two others, does each ticket I buy under my account count towards the spend requirement or just my ticket.

Agree that a tracking portal would be useful, but the mp desk should be able to tell you about your pqd spend towards the offer. They were able to confirm my date of registration for a similar offer, and the fact that the ticket purchased two days later was qualifying towards my spend target.

$10,000 for 14,000
$11,000 for 21,000
$12,500 for 35,000

My PQD was ~$10,500 at the time of the offer

I think my offer is pretty lousy but it actually turns out to basically be a waste for UA because I was highly likely to hit $25K spend on UA anyway this year. Now they're just giving me 70K additional miles for doing exactly what I would have done anyway.

Booked a discounted F fare on AA this morning for an upcoming ATL > ORD leg because @ $291 it was $40 cheaper than UA's A fare for the similarly timed flight. So this promotion hasn't even made enough of an impression on me to get them that incremental spend.

Who knows, maybe it works for someone. Just seems like the return on RDM for them is going to be pretty poor. My guess is this (along with a bunch of other high RDM promotions lately) just portends increases to RDM levels for award tickets etc...

Like PQD it's credited to the traveler, not the purchaser.

I remember seeing that in the FAQ but now I can't get the FAQ for the promotion to load...

My offer:

$16,000 / 37,000
$18,500 / 56,000
$23,500 / 93,000

Adding in already purchased tickets I am at around $30k PQD.

At first I was excited by the offer and then I realized that I had to purchase the dollar thresholds in addition to my current PQD not collectively so there is little chance I will make it the first level of $7,500 since I am already close to 1k anyway. I already don't have an easy time using any GPU's so it has no value to me to give UA more money with no benefits. As a side note, with this new Polaris-- I am waiting for the other shoe to drop--- increased PQD's next year and possibly making us pay co-pays to fly flights with that service like the PS service. My friends always argue that I show do a status match for AA, but let's see what the new year brings.

As someone who hasn't paid for a revenue flight on UA since 2013 (but have booked awards and have the Chase MP card), I got:

$500 = 10,000
$1,000 total = +15,000 (25K total)
$2,500 total = +25,000 (50K total)

Makes it tempting to shift some business over to UA now that I've requalified for AS MVP75K this year.

You're now registered for this exclusive offer. Book and travel on United® to reach your personalized milestones and watch your mileage balance grow. The more you fly, the more you earn.

These are your spending milestones:

Milestone 1: spend $2,000 and earn 15,000 bonus award miles
Milestone 2: spend $3,000 total and earn 23,000 more award miles
Milestone 3: spend $5,000 total and earn 38,000 more award miles

Start flying toward your spending milestones.

To be eligible, flights must be purchased after registration and flown before November 30, 2016.

So 76000 for 5000$ total spend - very tempting. Since I have already reached DM on DL for the next year this is really good.

333,000 mile promotion

logged into UA.com com today and saw a promotion to earn 333,000 miles. The promotion is based on dollars spent and, at 3 points you earn miles for a total of 333,000 miles.

My first milestone is $33,500. Thing is, I'm already past that. Currently at $36,000 PQD.

Small print says tickets must be purchased after enrollment and flown before november.

So, does that mean I have to spend $33,500 MORE to get the points? Doesn't make sense...
