Hah, website doesn't know how to format list for items past 99:
BLA, J. is really fortunate — clearing from that list and getting 1A!

Are you sure the PP are applied properly? Based on what I'm seeing, someone with PP shouldn't be any further than 20-25ish range.

John Smith? Considering the person the person you're alluding to would be very unlikely to be sitting in the middle of the revenue J upgrade list.

Good call - I misconnected on the inbound and thought it was a little strange I had dropped from around the 15 mark to the 50. Apparently my PP’s fell off. Thought about it after I posted initially, but decided not to reapply because, well, nobody moved off the list.

A boy can dream, right? 😀

Incidentally, at time of departure the upgrade list was 143 long.

That's what I suspected which is why I asked upthread if you would remove your PPs to see where you were on the list. 50s with no PPs sort of makes sense but even that is a high number.

Thankfully it's a short flight so not a huge miss.

What are the chances these longs lists get shorter when status starts to expire?

High, in a literal sense. That is, they'll get shorter because status expires end Jan, and Jan/Feb are light months for travel. They won't be shorter because qualifying elites are suddenly a rarity — that won't happen.

I am on a flight Monday DEN-IAH with 166 total seats and there are currently 78 on the UG list. That's a very high percentage of "elites"

I remember flying IAD-SFO perhaps 6y ago. Though the year is foggy, the trip itself was memorable for two reasons. I was amazed that I scored the one and only UG on a list that I cannot recall how long it was but that it was very long on a 6pm-ish flight. The other reason I remember: IIRC, this was the last time I had a sundae on UA (on a 752).

153 SFO-EWR with one First Biz booked full and all but one checked in. The whole plane seemed to be GS and 1K.
