Celebrity Sightings on United Airlines [2016]

Figured I'd revive this thread for 2016.

On UA215 Friday night's redeye from SFO to ORD, I didn't see any famous people but I did sit behind a famous trophy. The America's Cup was travelling in 1A. It made a great pax because it didn't recline! The Marine escorting it said the trophy was stopping over for a couple days in Chicago before heading off to London, so maybe someone else will spot it en route.

Neat! One question - why was there a Marine escorting a trophy? Hadn't realized that you could hire the US military for private courier service...

That's pretty awesome. He's got to look huge in-person.

Jan 26, 2016 - Pro Bowlers (Eli Manning, Tyrod Taylor)

After all the chaos of my canceled flight BOS-EWR, I managed to board on EWR-HNL UA15 Tuesday. I did not notice anything special, but after landing, a tall gentleman went out of the plane and waited for the toddler seat. It was Eli Manning. After I saw the crew, they mentioned Tyrod Taylor was in this flight as well. A very, very quiet gentleman Eli is. I could have asked for a picture but it was too late(with security)

Was told Eli was in 1K, and Chris Berman should be somewhere at the back.(I was in 1A)

Also managed to see Chris Berman(ESPN) for the Pro Bowl.

Yeah, my bad. 6:39a flight this morning. They got to board even before "passengers with children under the age of two". I guess I'll have to toss my hat in the ring to board early. The Carson party (about 10-12 of them on a 739 with 57 passengers) were already on board when they opened the jetway door for us. We also had to remain seated while they disembarked and went down the stairs to their vehicles.
