Are these CPU-eligible flights?
No -- no CPU on these flights. It will take RPU/GPU/mileage+copays to upgrade. Generally, these are "hard" upgrades.

Are TODs / Cash upgrades offered?
Yes, $298 cash OW upgrades are regularly offered.

Assuming the crew actually cares and properly account for the meals. This 1K in row 1 got exactly 1 choice - the ravioli. Same with my partner sitting next to me, who is also 1K. The purser offered 2 choices, and then states that only 1 was available (also the ravioli).

Still inaccurate, along with the amenity kit in PremierPlus.

Please someone correct me if I’m wrong.
The 763's were configured as following, to the best of my knowledge;

F Cabin 2-1-2 Silver seats
J cabin 2-2-2 Brown seats
Y cabin 2-3-2

I remember the F cabin seats being very comfortable. Hardly ghetto and the soft product was so much better than today!

That configuration was the International variant of the 763. Though they were also used on the premium transcons out of JFK (alongside 762s) as well as other domestic positioning like SFO-MIA.

The ghetto bird version was the domestic variant that was used for hub to hub and Hawaii routes. In some ways, the 777 HD is the current day descendant of the ghetto bird.

It's an interesting history of the term, as I first encountered it (long after it started, I'm sure) in reference to the pmUA 752 fleet with 24F recliners in the front which I believe was of a similarly advanced age to the 28J ps fleet (but without new seats) and were being flown mostly to Hawaii until the wings (not literally) fell off.

Hmm, had not heard that term being used for the pmUA domestic 752 configuration.

It would be ironic though, since these days, the replacement aircraft are much more dense and the seats more uncomfortable. If those 752 were considered ghetto birds, what do we call the planes in use these days?

I believe it was more in reference to the physical condition of the cabin, which had not been refreshed in a long time. They were dingy, with old seats - this was only a few years before they were retired. Even with the new Diamond seats, the p.s. subfleet showed its age in other ways too - I once had my window come apart on me!
