United Club Wifi Blocking Enterprise Applications?

I saw something today that I haven't seen before - I was wondering if anyone else has seen it or has a workaround.

We use ShareFile for secure file sharing for everything too confidential for email.

Today at the United Club (F Gates, O'Hare) I got this message when I tried to access my corporate ShareFile site:

Sorry, you don't have permission to visit this site.
You tried to visit:http://(mycompany).sharefile.com/

Your organization has selected Zscaler to protect you from internet threats.

I use ShareFile often enough that this seems like it must be new - but it could be that I just haven't had mission-critical files I needed to download in a club lounge since most of my files auto-sync.

This time, I just set up my iPhone as a personal hotspot to get around it because I didn't have time to mess with it - but ShareFile doesn't seem like a site that should be blocked like this. It's an enterprise-class file sharing service that a lot of businesses use.

Anyone else seen this? Any idea what I can do? At minimum I'd like to send a sternly worded letter to someone to let them know that this decision has a significant impact on the usefulness of my club membership and my company's willingness to reimburse me for it.

Or, get your own wifi hotspot. Not a good idea to use a "semi-public" wifi (including UAL) for corporate documents, anyway.

It's a known annoyance with UC wifi. Makes zero sense to me, too.

Try a VPN.

In your shoes, I wouldn't mention it to your company. They might decide to end your UC subsidy.

Getting the exact same thing - with and without VPN - at UC in IAD. Our entire company runs on Sharefile, not sure why it won't work here.

Blocked sites at United Clubs

I understand why some sites are blocked at United Clubs. Initially you got an explicit notice that a particular site was blocked, but now the connection is simply dropped. I've noticed that Google Docs is blocked. I can't think of a reason why they'd block that site.

It's odd, right? Because they block access the domain named "docs.google.com" but not "drive.google.com" where you can do pretty much the same stuff.

Yup, but the way Google is set up, if you are redirected to docs from drive, the connection gets dropped again.

Also, categories are used to block, ("Porn","Hacking","File Sharing" etc) and sometime a domain can be mis-categorized. The vendor we use at work once pushed out an update that put "google.com" into a blocked category.
