Just went through the fleet site to check the registration numbers.

From what I can tell, N178UA and N182UA arrived on 6/24 and 6/25 respectively and haven't had any movement since. As of this posting and united.com UA 837 SFO-NRT is scheduled using N182UA and UA 893 SFO-ICN is scheduled using N178UA on 6/27.

UPDATE: UA952 left the gate at 10:36 p.m., 5 hours, 1 minute late. Still not airborne.

SECOND UPDATE: 952 returned to gate at 11:21 pm, CDT. I'm expecting that the flight will be cancelled any minute now.

6/27 UA 2061 ORD-MUC (N647UA) 1600 - 0800. Same frame that couldn't go today.
6/27 UA 953 MUC-ORD cancelled.

On another note I saw someone on FB complaining about getting rebooked on UA 882 NRT-ORD on 6/26.

6/26 UA 882 NRT-ORD (N105UA) returned to gate at 1839. Departed at 1933, but returned to gate again at 2045. Departed again at 2105 due to maintenance. I believe they were running into legality issues or the maintenance issue caused them to have to schedule a diversion to SFO. Eventually cancelled due to maintenance.

There is an extra sector scheduled on 6/27 UA 2055 NRT-ORD (N127UA), that was scheduled to depart at 1540, but is now showing a delay until 1935 due to operational issues. N105UA is assigned to UA882 on 6/27.

UA973 seems to have diverted to LHR, saw it appear on my Plane Finder app having reported 7700 emergency code.

Correct. My brother flies 763s for Delta, and he rarely experiences MX problems with that aircraft.

But they aren't even close... Do you think a focus on 85%+ would yield materially better results? The problems here are much deeper.

Yesterday's United 66 (ORD-SNN) diverted to EWR. They spent 3.5 hours on the ground in EWR arriving into SNN 5 hours late.

I had a friend on the flight that reported "they declared an emergency because something broke on the wing". (His words, not mine)

I remember just a few weeks back (June 7 to be specific) flying HAM-EWR ... delayed 4hr due to mx issue on the inbound. As I was looking at flight status for other TATL inbounds, it appeared that several B752's had been out for mx that same evening. Not sure what the deal is with these aircraft... but that is one of the very few reference points I have flying TATL on B752's, and it was not good. I will stick to B772 whenever possible.

Well they're going to make up a part of the 'new' p.s. fleet, so I sure hope there aren't too many chronic maintenance issues...
