My co-worker just flew MSP-LAX in the CR7 yesterday...blocked to 3:59. That's a blast.

Did DEN-YYZ in just over three hours.
Highlight was untrained GA's in DEN who didn't know the various acceptable ID's for entry into Canada.

Currently MSP-LAX on the OO CR7 @ 1535mi. After October, will be MSP-SFO @ 1589mi on the OO Embraer 175. I refuse to fly UA on either route unless I have no other choice...

Due to this I always fly ORD-FLL if at all possible. The problem with FLL is the flight times are always jacked up and different due to it being a leisure market. I get mainline every time though (and usually upgraded) and FLL is a really nice airport. Great little UA Club there too which is nice. If they had regularly scheduled flights to FLL, like MIA, then I wouldn't think twice about booking to FLL.

I wouldn't have a problem flying MSP-SFO on the E175. I think it's much much more comfortable than a CR7.

AUS - SFO
I flew the AUS-SFO flight a couple of months ago on the CR Jet and it was absolutely miserable. We hit head winds so the flight was over 4 hours and they have put the new slim line seats in with the new lights. Maybe I am getting old, but I can't get enough light to read with the new lights and I can't stand the new seats. I just flew it yesterday from DEN to Nashville and it was uncomfortable.
I have sent emails to UA about this and comment on it every time they send the survey but their does not appear to be a concern. It is finally beginning to change my buying habits. I flew UA because of the E+ seating for when I wasn't upgraded, but now that doesn't work any more. It will be interesting to see which airline is going to try to lure the business traveller back.
