Would require lie-flat aircraft. CUN does not appear to be a route that would support the needed ticket prices

Treat it exactly the same as a domestic F flight, and you won’t be disappointed. Because, really, that’s all it is.

My last CUN - EWR flight Y was oversold by 9 and a number of ppl got free upgrades. No one was biting buying up on even the $99 upgrade offers (my wife and I gladly took) It's highly leisure. We've seen the $99 upgrade offers on multiple EWR - CUN flights at check in/the airport. Once we had a 764 and it was utilized every other day for a few weeks in May 2015 but that's the only time I've seen any flat beds to CUN>

I just did these flights 2 weeks ago... Both myself and my reservation-companion cleared at T-72. Extremely leisure-heavy flights... Think we were the only people in the 1K preboard, no GS's.

ORD-CUN has gotten the high density 777-200 on Saturdays the last couple years. I looked at flying down there in January 2020 and it was on the 730am flight down. Ended up booking the AA 787 instead.

My guess is Polaris class is unlikely to expand. But if it were to expand, the only places where I could see it plausibly expanding are (1) routes to northern South America (Ecuador, Colombia) and (2) some sort of competitive product to AA's Flagship First on p.s. transcons. And in both cases, I wouldn't even expect the full Polaris- it would be something closer to Lima routes, where you get the Polaris lounge but you don't get a full Polaris onboard meal service.

I would have to say an absolute no for the Polarization.
Polaris is designed for long-haul international routes (i.e. TPAC/TATL) only. Beside, as soon as Cuncan is still a CPUable destination, UA will not spend more than it should.

So if I read UA Clubs policies correctly. Since I’m in United Business from IAH-CUN I will also get club access on my DFW-IAH flight as well?
I never realized I’d my flight to Canada or Mexico is in First, technically it’s internation first which gives me lounge access on my origin and connections as well.

Load up on snacks, cause you wont get much on the flight from IAH-CUN, just a snack basket if that.
Least there is Old Fashions!

While there will never be Polaris service to Cancun, there are Polaris seats. As mentioned, ORD-CUN gets a 777. AA flies a mix of wide-bodies, too. Wouldn’t be surprised to see more UA 777s in CUN if Covid-19 takes them off even more long-haul flying.
As for UIO, I suppose a 752 could fly it at some point. But like BOG, it would not have Polaris service.
