Had a EWR-MIA-EWR booked as a saver + standard award, showing on MP as:
"Air Travel Award (37,500)"
Found I could add Amtrak to make it:
ZTF-EWR-MIA-EWR-ZTF and assumed that it would be the same miles.
Had to call and have MP book it, although it showed as available, the last screen after selecting seats would always crash.
They were able to do it on the phone, the eticket was updated, and while it still shows:
MileagePlus Miles Debited/Award Used:37500/S125H-E25K
My MP now shows a redeposit and higher amount of mile taken:
Award Redeposit 37,500
Combined Rewards WC21P|WC21C (47,500)
Is this correct, does adding a connection increase the mile needed? The website showed the same 37.5k when I searched, as does the eticket.
Should I call to get a refund for the difference?
