Easiest way I find to determine if you'll be on a PMCO aircraft retrofitted with E+ is just look at the seat map of the route you're considering; of course there can always be post booking aircraft changes as well though.
I had such a change work in my favor though for an upcoming flight. I was on a non-retrofitted 753 and booked my seat near the front of the aircraft. Now being a lowly silver I would not normally be eligible for E+ unitl t-24, but then they made an aircraft switch to a retrofitted 753 and low and behold I kept my same seat number an am now in E+.

Row 7 or 21 on a 737-800?
I can't find an "Everything You Want To Know About Where To Sit on a 737 (post merger)" thread, so this seems a good place to ask my question. I found one in the CO pre-merger, but not sure if that applies now that the 737 has E+ and E- seating.
Tomorrow I'm on a 737-800 LAX-SFO with the 16 F seats and both 7 A-C & 7 D-F. I'm in 7C, and it doesn't appear that I will make the upgrade to F. A number of people did get the UG which results in 21 A-C and D-F now open. I value legroom, and SFO is my final destination so I'm not in hurry to deplane in order to make a connection.
Shall I stay in 7C or move to 21 C or D?

Oh brother I was talking about about Sky Interior Aircraft, not aircraft with E+. And I was only including sCO aircraft, since those are the ones with sky interior. Also any existing aircraft before sky interior was introduced, cannot be modified to get sky interior. There are 264 sCO aircraft with E +
2 B787-8 Dreamliners
22 B77-200s
10 B767-400s
13 B757-300s
41 B757-200s

Also, not to nitpick, but the 787's may be "in the sCO fleet" but they do not operate flights yet...
From the passenger's point of view the only substantial difference is the larger overhead bins.
Yes, there is also the recessed color lighting...I barely noticed it.

I've been on them too - can't say I thought it was leaps ahead.

Very true, although that has nothing to so per se with BSI, only that Koito was forced out of the airline seat business following its seat flammability document forgery scandal, which obliged CO to work with a provider other than the absolute cheapest one...
