Still available for sure. Doubt UA will honor since the award line above the additional taxes/fees reflects the correct amount of miles. Time will tell.

Man, between this and the SQ awards release, something tells me it is going to become very hard to redeem UA miles for legitimate *A awards in Asia anytime soon. Thai and Singapore execs must be hating on UA even more than UA's own customers at this point.

Well SQ execs had been hating UA for a long time, and that's why they ban UA*G flying domestic to use SKL in SFO.

Guess many of you guys didn't get screw by UA a few days ago ?

UA can till come back 3 months later and say they make a mistake and have to charge you for the full miles.

I booked a EWR-HKG r/t for 4 miles plus $40 or so. Would love to see what happens next given my Mileageplus account had only 50 miles in it!

Edit: and now it's been ticketed

One change I definitely like.
Do Platinums get free redeposit of award miles if they cancel? I see on the Boarding Area blog that there are several posts about the correct amount of miles being deducted from Mileage Plus accounts. Will you fly at full miles?

COdbaUA is so well known for honoring their mistakes. Jeffy even said so. <sarc>

I don't think it worked for me. The receipt and confirmation show 8 miles for the two tickets I bought but my account was deducted for the full amount of 165k. At least that's what it seems so far.

I'm sitting this one out, but wow. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

why would anyone care about the 24hr cancellation or fee. It's 4 miles per ticket. If they do honor it and you can't travel forget the miles. Am I missing something?

Would love to go along for the ride, but with the current shambles of COdbaUA having the taxes refunded could be a mind numbing experience.

Because some people are having the correct amount deducted from their account.
