I'm still waiting for 3 transatlantic return segments to post. One from Milan/ORD on Luf, Frankfurt/ORD on UA and Sao Paulo/ORD on UA. Postings are taking for ever and since we have no history, sorting out if I've received credit for my flights is nearly impossible.
Is anyone seeing the same thing? |
United.com having major seat map issues. Traveling Internationally as of 2/29. After a few jumps and changes my LAX to LHR with a layover in SFO finally posted correctly to my MP account.
Post integration my seats in Business, or BusinessFirst I should say, for my LHR to LAX direct flight on 3/14 were taken away. I had selected 6A&B for me and my companion way back in July. Post integration we had no seat assignments. I was able to select 10A&B but much prefer 6A&B especially now being a 1K doesn't matter in terms of meal selection. Today I saw 6A&B opened up and selected them promptly. Even got to the page where it showed that our assigned seats were now 6A&B. After I clicked off and checked the flight for something else I noticed the reservation online and on the app were still showing 10A&B, but the flight seat map were showing that those seats in row 10 were now empty and seats 6A&B were taken. I went back online to see what the deal was and indeed when I selected "View/Change Seats" from the reservation page it showed us back in Row 10 and 6 was not available. I figured this was a glitch and tested it out looking at the seats I was selecting and a seat map from the flight status pages. Sure enough after selecting row 8, and getting confirmation of that selection. Seat map in flight status showed those seats in 8 now taken but row 6 and 10 now available in A&B, but in the reservation seat map page, it showed me still back in row 10 and row 6A&B available. I selected row 6A&B, saw that status confirmation on the page post selection and on the flight status seat map page row 8 and row 10 were empty and row 6 was now taken. I called the 1K desk and she had us in row 6, but still online reservation and app show row 10. United can't even seam to have harmony in their seat maps when looking at reservations and when looking at flight status. I feel bad for the agents, but given all the problems they are having with upgrades, reservations, and seat maps. An apology email to all elites would go a long way. |
Hm...no problem posting to my AP account. They say sometimes it can take 2-4 weeks though.

are your non-posting segments in the ON fare class?

Is anyone seeing the same thing? I don't think she would have mislead me but I don't have faith that employees have the proper information all of the time. It seems that there are a lot of situations with reservations that are slightly different from one to the next. If UA is looking for blanket measures (and I'm sure they are, with so many things to correct) I don't have much confidence that they'll be fixed without one or more calls from us. Delayed posting of mileage credit isn't a big deal for most of us. but if certain folks were counting on cashing in miles or leveraging increased status for big future travel plans in a relatively short timeframe, I can understand how some people are antsy about it. |
System wants to charge co-pay for domestic ug with miles
Is this a known flaw in the new system? If I try to book a domestic ps flight (JFK-LAX) and use miles to upgrade the system insists on charging me the $75 copay. I am Premier Platinum and should be exempt from this, right?

Here it is over a week later and two of my UA flights, one on 3/3 and one on 3/4 still have not posted to my account. I have checked my receipt and the fare classes are V and G, so it's not an R/ON issue, although I found it quite humerous that the aircraft listed for 3 of the 4 flights was a CRJ-700 and there was no aircraft type listed for the first leg. I certainly hope that they don't start flying RJs from ORD-SFO.

Thank you, UA Insider, for fixing my wife's "A modification has been made to your itinerary. Please contact United Reservations to have your ticket reissued.”! Now, I wonder if you help out with my pending SFO-LHR upgrade :D

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)
Can we get an update if possible from UA on mileage? Its not just flights that aren't posting- ON or not, nothing has been posted to my account in the last week. Is it turned off again? |
I'm missing two AC flights and an Avis rental from last Monday (Avis) and Tues/Weds (AC). Usually these would have posted by now, not sure if it's a system issue or just tardiness by partners.

I have an upcoming itin, with the outbound on p.s. flights (upgraded to C via RPU), and the return on a 2-class 777 (SFO-IAD). When I check on requesting an upgrade for the domestic 777 (to F), .bomb indicated there are no C upgrades available.
Is this just a display bug--since the outbound is in 3-class and the return is in 2-class--or is it something else I should be more concerned with as the UDU upgrade windows approach? E.g. is the system going to try an upgrade to C, which will never appear on the 2-class flight? |

Did not clear CPU at 96 hours for UA509 on Mar 12. Interestingly, 3 people cleared at 72 and 48 hour marks. Hopefully, they are GS or 1K in higher fare bucket rather than Plat or Prem Exec. Called reservations, transferred to non-1K agent who couldn't find my reservation at first and then couldn't tell if I was on the upgrade list and so manually re-added me. Was checked in automatically at the 24 hour mark, still not showing up on upgrade list visible from the United app. Called reservations again, and was told app data is inaccurate due to integration and that he could see me on the list of 15 people. He couldn't tell me my rank though because it lists alphabetically.
All I know is I was 49/50 on upgrades in the last 14 months (11 of which were spent as a 1P), and I'm headed for 1/3 since the integration. I was 8/25 for 1 remaining seat on a red eye the other night; are there really that many new GSs and 1Ks in Seattle since the merger? With all the moment to moment errors in the system, I'm far more suspicious that something was wrong with the upgrade list. Maybe they should just ditch the computer system and sort these upgrades out manually at the gate until the kinks are worked out. |

Hi UA Insider. Here's another minor bug on the new ua.com. When logging into to my account, I see this page with a link to United Global First below my account summary. However, the link takes me to the Business/BusinessFirst page.
