So This is interesting aircraft in that is is a backbone of most airlines flights thought this is specific to UA / CO at this point in time i believe the product of there 57s is better and have AVOD


As a traveler do you enjoy flying on the 757 ?

What is your inital reaction to the UA/CO 757s. ?

I have talked with some United CSRs they tend to hate the boarding the aircraft.

it is actually longer in length then the 767....... Ithink :confused:

I have seen some really dingy united 757s, and yet I still enjoy flying on it.

I don't have much exposure to the PMCO 757s so don't know how the rank up to united I know they tend to be much newer.

Also we know if united is going to equip winglets on all there 57s

I like them. Good sized first class with good upgrade chance and you can turn left and don't have the whole economy cabin passing you like on some other planes (767 being one of them).

They are also relatively overpowered engine-wise so they have quite a bit of "oompf" when the pilot wants it to. I've experienced some great take-off rolls and in-flight adjustments thanks to that.

Toss in AVOD & power throughout and lie-flat seats up front and I've got no problems with the CO 752s. The UA birds are a bit more beat up, including the p.s. fleet, but the upcoming refurbs should help out quite a bit with that.

The 753s, on the other hand, are called the slave ship for a reason. That extra section in the back is downright scary. :D

I've never flown a CO 752, but I love flying UA's, and I'll plan my routes to maximize my 752 flying, mainly for upgrades, but I also love the rocket ship takeoff, especially at short fields. I prefer the private feeling in F on the 752 as well.

That's what I thought when I booked a flight on one. When I got to the gate this past Saturday, there were 42 people on the upgrade standby list and first had checked in full.

I do also like the efficiency of having first being in a different direction than coach.

I love the 757.

CO 752's are in much better shape than the ones operated by PMUA.

I just flew on N506UA a couple days ago and she needed a good scrubbing inside. I'm also not a fan of the yellow sidewalls/bulkheads and flowered wallpaper in the lavs.

Hopefully she cycles through MCO MX soon.

Oldie but a goodie. Huge F cabin, tons of exit rows if F doesn't clear, two F lavs in F (figuratively). And that's one fast plane.

I forgot the large first class cabin ;) I honestly have to say that is one the best feature of the 757.

Another perk of 757 is it can get into airports that the widebody is unable to land at.

It is very closely related to the 767 . the set up of the cockpit is exaclty the same.

I'd rather have a 752 over a 738/739 any day.

I hate the 737 with a passion because i think it is symbolic of Southwest my FAVORITE AIRLINE:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Lengthwise, it depends on which models you're talking about. Generally, the 757 and 767 are roughly the same length for a given model (i.e. 200, 300). All else being equal, the 767 is going to be faster to board, since it's got two aisles in coach for 7 passengers across (so 3.5 passengers per aisle per row) while the 757 has only one aisle (6 passengers per aisle per row).

Clearly, the 757-300 is a godawful plane. 35+ rows of coach. I don't think anything other than a 747 or A380 offers that long a walk back

Yep. Not at all. Pratts all the way.

They also do not have E+ as of today, the IFE in Y you get charged for on Domestic flights, and the seats make a boulder sound comfortable.
