To clarify, catering is not back to normal yet on any routes.
However, on 8h+ routes in business class, hot meals have returned back with a reduced format compared to the past. Tea&coffee are also served on these routes in Business Class.

So on USA-IST

In Business Class: You would get hot meals but no appetizer/dessert trolley service, tea&coffee, soft drinks, beer & wine but no sprits, liqueur, and digestives.
In Economy Class: Boxed meals with no tea&coffee, no alcohol

Flying Germany-IST r/t in January in J class. I didn't figure from the wiki if the drink service is normal. Will it be possible to get, say, a beer or a coffee?

Unfortunately, if things stay as it is at the moment, you would get boxed food and no coffee, no tea, no spirits&digestvies liqueur but you would receive free soft drinks, canned beer and wine in small miniature bottles.

I've mentioned this in another board ( I guess it was one of the US3 ) that QF is charging USD500 + tax for the cheapest revenue one-way fare between SYD and MEL.
What is TK charging? ₺749 ( USD95 including tax ). So an Australian passenger who purchases a discounted domestic fare would pay 5 times more than a Turkish passenger so it's highly normal that QF is serving hot meals at this point.

By the way, Australian passengers like to support Qantas and are generally happy to pay those published prices.

BHX-TNR in July, Turkish is looking the best option in terms of timings and prices for J. Same price as Air France/KLM but would rather avoid transiting Nairobi. Hmmmm, lets hope by July they have reinstated showers/booze in the lounge, and I can have a decent hot meal.

It is most concerning that the virus infects hot food on Turkish, but does not infect such hot food on other airlines. I suppose it is obvious however that the virus infects the alcohol offerings at the Turkish lounge in IST, but is not interested at all in doing the same in the SkyTeam lounge. I did read it prefers the star alliance loyalty schemes so maybe this is why?

Funnily enough at AMS, similar situation. The virus infects the self serve drink machines in the Non Schengen lounge (excluding the coffee machines naturally, the virus hates coffee), but does not at the Schengen lounge. I think I heard the virus does not have a Schengen visa so that is why the Schengen side is safe.
