The TK 787 offers 1-2-1 seating in J as follows (see post #1):
Odd rows: A (window) [aisle] E&F (honeymoon seats, console at the aisle) [aisle] K (window)
Even rows: A (window) [aisle] D&G (seats closer to aisle, console in between seats) [aisle] K (window)

Please note that as of August 11th, it is not possible to select seats on the TK website or in the TK app. Also, the hotline seems to look at an outdated seat map and does not see all seats.

There is a plan that TK would retrofit their 777 aircraft with a newer J class product but there is no information of when and which seats would be used in which configuration. However, there are rumors all around the internet.

Not true, they have the A332 and fly it to its limits on routes like IST-BOG-PTY-IST, which is a longer flight than IST-DPS. But I believe those A330 were also retrofitted with the same lie flat seats as the 777s, so yeah there's no chance of getting a recliner on that route.

Actually, TK says its 777s will be getting a new-but-different business class seat to the Stelia Auroras of the B787/A350 – and while it will have direct aisle access there's no guarantee it will be 1-2-1.

From https://www.ausbt.com.au/turkish-air...ss-class-seat:

“Our current seats in the Boeing 777, because of the wider cabin, had to be seven in a row (2-3-2). We had to take care of the economy of the aircraft too, so for that reason we are looking at alternative seats,” as opposed to installing the same Aurora seat planned for the airline’s upcoming Airbus A350s and Boeing 787s, which Bolat described as “smaller aircraft, which could only have four seats (in each row).”
On the reconfigured Boeing 777s, “there will be direct aisle access, but there are different types of seats available to us… for example, they have seats that are two coupled together with aisle access via the back of the seat.”

To the lucky one who does the first B787 flight report in C.
Please be so kind to do a few shots that help us find the best window seat row.
Especially interested in window positions in rows 2, 4 and 6.
My guess is row 6 A/K is best for viewers.
Many thanks!

I'm not so sure - looking at the picture of the business class from the back it seems that the allignment of the left side is different than the allignment of the right side. As all the close up pictures are of the right side, it would be great when someone actually take a flight to report back.

I'm sure we'll be getting new pictures this week, we can finally find out which seat to choose by then.

Eren Bülül is shown on the very end of the video, his mother at 0:50 mins.

Based on that flight report from Josh Cahill (thanks a lot!) I guess my seat is 6A or 6K because of the window to seat position. Is that you on 8A @ISTFlyer ;-)
