There are just a few, visible in the chart linked above. Most significantly maybe free upgrades and the possibility to gift elite cards. Some extra kgs and a security fast track. (Family membership used to be elite plus only, but that recently changed)

When requalifing, does TK uses calendar year or 12 month?

Just matched with Elite status, and I am thinking keep the status when it due to renewal.

It seems that TK uses 12-month membership year for status renewal, do I read it correctly? Or does TK use calendar year for membership renewal? thanks

Yes, you are correct. It's calculated in 12-month periods after you gain eligibility.

First, thanks for the effort to put all this together ^

Now, does this really have to be sent by post or are there simpler ways such as a fax number or email? Thank you

Do status miles 'reset' after reaching Classic Plus level?

I'm curious whether Elite level requires 25,000 + 40,000 or just 40,000 status miles.

Lounge Access in Addis Ababa

I am flying from IST to JRO via ADD. I have a business class ticket on TK from IST to ADD but then have to change to ET and got stuck in economy from ADD to JRO. I could not get business class all the way. Will I be able to gain access to the TK lounge in ADD and/or the Cloud Nine lounge?

Splitting miles

I will soon fly WAW-IST-KUL-WAW.

I would like to credit miles on A3 on the WAW-IST-WAW leg and on TK on the IST-KUL-IST leg.

Is that possible in any way ?

Thanks !

FAQ 1: Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles, essential programme information

Here's an option:
- use A3 account at checkin in WAW
- in IST go to the lounge and change the FFP for onward flight to TK M&S
- in KUL use TK M&S as FFP
- in IST try at the Lounge or transfer desk to get the last leg on A3...

Most likely it will not work for last leg, 100% for the legs 2 and 3.

Just 40,000 within any rolling 12 months + 2 days (based on my statement).

When you reach Classic Plus, your status miles balance will be deducted 25,000 miles (or reset shall we say) and the card operation section will tell you that you need another 15,000 miles, any additional miles above 25,000 will count toward 15,000 miles needed to get Elite.

You may choose any future date to determine miles needed to be upgraded or renewed.
