Is Global Entry worthwhile?

T1 at YYZ is allowing GE holders to use the nexus line (you don't use the nexus machine) but get to the begining of the long line. I found that out today after a 40 min wait for passport stamping. The CBP officer told me that they're expecting GE kiosks next month.
Good job cbp. I hate pearsons customs line.

Is there an autopost thing going on with your BlackBerry?
Umm not really.

Especially in combination with the signature. Let's say that rsh913 does not appear too much like a philosopher right now...

The signature is loosely translated as "if you'd kept your mouth shut we might have though you're clever". A play on the original translation by Sir Humphrey Appleby.

I interviewed for and was approved for Global Entry at IAH last month. They didn't have any stickers. Is the sticker important? Should I swing by a different Global Entry office the next time I am nearby and try to pick one up?

I've never been asked to show the sticker, though I think it's important if there are no kiosks and you want to have some special passes.

The only place I have been asked to show the sticker is at ORD. Other stations don't seem to care.

Officer also checked for it when I had to skip to the front of the line because the kiosk couldn't register my fingerprints at IAH, but I've had that problem elsewhere and the officer didn't check for the sticker.
I hope CBP isn't adopting TSA's 'planned inconsistency'.

I've shown my sticker, but they don't seem to care. However, I'm making the effort to get a new one put in my new passport just in case. Meanwhile, I'm carrying both the old and new.

I used GE for the first time. It was fast and easy at the kiosk.
Upon exiting the customs, I had to show my passport. Then, I was greeted with another custom agent for additional screening.
I was asked questions such as
Where did your flight originate?
What country did you visit?
What is your flight number?
Where are you heading to?
What was the purpose of your trip?
Did you bring any duty free items?
Did you bring any food/fruits?
I answered them as he completed a form.
I thought GE was supposed to streamline the process.

Sounds like you had a CBP officer who was unfamiliar with GlobalEntry procedures, namely that members who use the kiosk successfully to get a receipt are not required to fill out a paper declaration.

Why you one: when you get an X at the kiosk, you are supposed to raise your hand, holding your X receipt and passport with the sticker clearly visible to the CBP agent in the nearest passport control booth. He will then give you head of the line privileges. It is also useful when the kiosks are down, and you don't have an X receipt to get head of line privileges.
90% of the time you won't need a sticker.
