It let me update my passport online earlier this year. Whether it will let you update or not, who knows! ;)

As for your first question, I don't know; I've gotten conflicting answers to that.

The first one is about my driver license. I've tried to update it 27 times using the website, and it will not update.
I'm American and now Canada is closed due to the virus. Can I update my DL for NEXUS at a Global Entry office in the United States? Or must I go to Canada?

Second - I just renewed my passport and it will have a new number. It is coming soon. Will the website let me update?

Could try a different web browser (hard to believe but it can make a difference). There used to be a number for faxing in updates but I have never done that.

Last passport update (before renewal) was in person at a Nexus location now permanently closed (2017). I think i renewed a DL and simply entered that info in when I renewed through the web portal (sometime last year IIRC).

Just tried...
It let me update the passport, no issues. But the driver's license is giving me trouble. So I don't think it can be a browser issue since the passport did update.

I've had this issue on their website before. Long story short, you can't actually update your DL on the website, you have to go to an enrollment center to do it. It's in the fine print somewhere, or I was told that from a help desk form I sent them.

My daughter just got approved today after a 11 month wait. There are no NEXUS centers open in the east. Just out west. Any chance NY or VT will open soon?

Champlain, NY is doing GE interviews, but likely won’t do NEXUS interviews until US/Canada border reopens.

For Canadian locations, YYC is giving dates in January for interviews, which is closer to normal ... YVR earliest available interview is Aug 16th

I'm only renewing, so miffed about re-interviewing, but grateful for extension of grace period to 1 year!

But other locations are doing them, including Washington, Minnesota, etc. What makes NY different? The border isn't opening anytime soon with cases on the rise

I suspect those offices' setup in their scheduling system is an issue. I see Blaine, WA, Pembina, ND, Sweetgrass, MT, and International Falls, MN. All now say "No appointments available at this location when you click on them. (International Falls recently showed availability in December or January, but not anymore.) I just called Champlain again and asked if they were accepting walk-in interviews. They said no and that there were no Canadian officers in the US office to complete NEXUS interviews. He said it will likely remain that way as long as the US/Canada border remains closed.

Was scheduled for Warroad, MN for the end of December. CBSA now says that all interviews are cancelled through December 7.

For US citizens, it’s still the case that you can’t do the interview at a Canadian airport, correct?

Not sure, but suspect not. You need to interview with both Canadian and American border officers for NEXUS. You won’t have American officers right now at Canadian airports.

Can I just convert the application to GE? Will it require another waiting period for approval? This took 11 months to get approval.

Take a look at this article in the CBP Information Center:

Applied for wrong Trusted Traveler Program

I applied for the wrong Trusted Traveler program, how do I correct the mistake?

If you applied for SENTRI or NEXUS but want Gobal Entry (GE), you can go into your account, convert the application to a GE application, and pay the difference in the application fee. You will not be able to do this if you have already scheduled your SENTRI or NEXUS interview. If you do that, then your only option is to cancel your application and apply again.

If you applied for Global Entry and want NEXUS, you would need to cancel your GE application and apply for NEXUS. Please note that once an application has been submitted, there are no refunds.

Per my TTP Dashboard this morning "Your application for the Trusted Traveler Program has been conditionally approved. You will need to complete enrollment within 730 days of the date of conditional approval." Two years after CA to complete enrollment rather than 18 months that had been the case recently.
