Expiration Date of first nexux card: Dec 22, 2018.
Applied for renewal around Sept 22, 2018. Got notice today that I was conditionally approved - must get interview! is that a random thing - most posts on this thread are not associated with an interview. My wife and sister-in-law earlier this year were approved without the need for an interview? |

I am a Canadian citizen. So still wondering why the interview - was I was chosen at random for the interview? |
applied in the middle of Sep, today log in just realized they conditional approved me in Nov 20th, there's no email send to inform this?
so I guess have no choice wait for it full approved but have to schedule a interview? One thing I think could trigger interview is My driver license expired in Oct 2018, and I don't go online to update to new expiry date BTW, can I use NEXUS line now with my conditional approval letter? Thanks! |

Thanks! According to the US CBP website, if you submit a renewal application before expiration of your current TTP membership, you can continue to use the program until the renewal is finalized for up to 6 months after the expiration date. |
Thanks! Just finish the interview, the US officer just verfify address all that and took photo/finger prints, the Canada officer don't ask any questions. Cross border can still use the NEXUS Lane.

If you received conditional approval only, an interview is required before you will receive the final approval.

Submitted renewal Sept 24. (After expiry; totally missed the expiry. It was caught by a Gate Agent as expired when I used to to board a flight. Interestingly, the line minder at the Nexus Security lane missed the expiry date and waved me through.) Approved Nov 26. no interview Update: Card arrived Dec 11. Canadian citizen. Second renewal. |
FYI, my SO had to get interviewed for her renewal (probably due to her Cuba trips), and we just got notice that Nexus interviews are canceled until the shutdown is resolved.

First NEXUS renewal applied for on 2018-10-16.
Went for an APEC (not NEXUS) interview on 2018-11-17 New NEXUS card received in mail 2018-12-21 Old card expires 2019-08-13 What's super weird is that I went for an APEC interview, but it seems like someone in the back office made a mistake and thought it was a NEXUS renewal interview. As of today, I don't know what to do about the APEC card because I still want it and the dashboard allows me to change the interview date. |
First renewal 11/23/18.
Approved 1/3/19 without interview (and without e-mail notifying of such). Kind of was hoping for an interview as the photo on my card was taken with a handheld webcam and is absolutely atrocious. Won't be seeing my new card for a while as I'm living in Europe and they're not mailed here. |
Hmm, I kinda feel like I might have set a record for renewal time. I submitted my renewal on 12/9. Not sure exactly when it was approved, but got back from vacation and checked the status on 1/5 and the site said it was approved, no interview required. Looked through the pile of held mail that I had, and the replacement card was in my held mail. So under 4 weeks, with holidays and a government shutdown somewhere in there?

Applied Dec 17. Second renewal. Card in hand Jan 4. Not sure when it got approved. No interview.
