What do you mean "cancelled"? Were you denied? Did you get a letter with explanation why? Did you mean DHS?

That is unreal. First of all you paid for it. It cannot just disappear in thin air. It is either approved or denied. Why would they cancel it? Did you call them?

The current administration has taken punitive action against citizens in New York State and DHS will not be approving any of their Global Entry or related program applications. It's in the news, and it's disgusting.

I definitely did call them this morning, they say people that already passed interview and didn't get their cards after the interview yet are still able to participate in the Nexus/global entry program, but people who's applications were pending and even people that were conditionally approved but still didn't not passed their interviews will be cancelled like you never apply, no fee will be refund, honestly I'm in shock

Exclamation Moderator's Note

Folks,

We have a thread discussing the cancellation of first time and renewal applications by New York State residents for the Trusted Traveler programs, including NEXUS .

DHS Secretary Suspending Trusted Travelers Programs for NY State Residents

Please continue the discussion of that topic n that thread.

Non political commentary and opinions about the administration's move can be posted in the following thread in the Checkpoints and Borders Policy Debate forum:

Global Entry, Trusted Traveler Programs Suspended for NY Residents

If you wish to discuss the politics behind the administration's move, we have a thread in OMNI/PR (access to OMNI is restricted to members who have been on FlyerTalk for 180 days and have posted 180 contributive messages):

New Global Entry suspended for NY Citizens due to Sanctuary law

I don't wish to discuss the politics of the matter, but will the recent NY law speed up processing times for NEXUS for residents from other states?

Yours is the first July app that I think I've heard being approved. Are there more?

My wife's application (from the beginning of July) is still showing pending...

There were some applications from June that received conditional approval recently. It was noted on this forum before that applications are not getting approved in the order they were received but rather you need to get lucky. I feel that with our luck we will be waiting much longer.

I applied in Aug 2019 and am STILL pending review. I thought I could use it for my US trips in Dec 2019 and in a couple of days, guess not. Don't think I'm planning a trip to the US for the rest of the year so essentially this application was a waste of time and money.
