Many years ago... I missed my flight from LHR to YYZ and the only choice I had was AI. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!! Flight was 3 hours delayed, aircraft smelled horrible, the worst was seeing a cock-roach on the head rest of the seat two rows ahead of me!
I will not even touch the bathrooms subject...
FYI... For those looking to travel to India Air Canada offers direct non-stop service from Toronto.

My flight AGAIN Delayed! its going 2:35 TOMORROW now! Can someone please tell me how this happend. I called Air India New YOrk Office, and they told me its delayed =due to tehnical difficulties. I also HEARD the tire of the plane was ruined, because they didnt replace after a long time, and it had to go to bombay for repair, so they sent another one from bombay whcih will then come to toronto.

Sit tight you'll get on it eventually until a further delay in Brimingham and them a further delay in Amritsar and eventually circling over DEL unable to land due to summer heat. You'll get there, son.

Of course, its easier to blame the airline for everything.

As a result, there was no option but to ground the aircraft and ferry a replacement in to cover for it.

His contract is with the airline, they are responsible for getting him to his destination, AI can blame it on its service providers but the customer is the one who suffers
you dont; need to be so defensive of AI, no matter what your affiliation with them

I flew business class from Hong KONG to Delhi on AI and it was a joke! Th eseats were so old fashioned , although roomy and teh flight attendants looked like they should have retired a decade ago!
However, I was just glad that I managed top get a seat , as all other airlines were full! Wonder why ? hehehehehe.......

Of course Air India accepted RESPONSIBILITY, provided hotel accomodation for all passengers and shipped a new aircraft up to continue the flight the next day. Subtle, but key difference between the fault and the blame.
I would say that the problem started when the aircraft caught fire, although the repairs may have been made more difficult due to the way the fire was extinguished.
