So it is obviously perfectly OK for an aircraft to burst into flames when landing, as long as the emergency services don't do anything stupid like extinguish fire with water?
I would say that the problem started when the aircraft caught fire, although the repairs may have been made more difficult due to the way the fire was extinguished.
