We made it

There’s a live band pumping out at 120 decibels plus, walked in, walked straight out again!
Plan B

Service so far is interesting. The beer sat on the bar so long that our server stirred them with a straw before bringing them over. My “Ah, freshly stirred beer, thanks” fell rather flat, just like the beer

A different server then arrived to take our food order and another first, half the order was taken with her staring out of the window behind me. Clearly she was staring at Albert’s Schloss across the way, maybe she could hear the band

Drunken noodles, and chicken and basil stir fry to share

And shared

It was the only way, the two top we are at is just big enough for the two large plates

With lips tingling from all the red chilli and the assistance of a little chilli oil, I can say that the chicken Satay starter was delicious. The main course, the belly pork in the stir fry was not well caramelised but the remainder of the dish was good. We both agreed that the drunken noodles were very good and we would both order them again.
No deserts tonight, an early night awaits.

Good morning from the Holiday Inn by New Street Station where it is time to close out this trip report with a look at the pretty decent breakfast spread

I have 90 minutes to kill before my train to Newcastle so for now it is time to enjoy a little bit of breakfast to fuel the next adventure!
