National Museum of Bermuda
And last but not least, Commissioners House.

Here, too, there are a number of different rooms, some with exhibitions and some largely in their original state.

There is also a balcony that would not be approved today.

Let's head for the exit.

Way back
There are no photos of the return journey. The ticket office at the ferry was already closed, so you pay a fee when you board. I then returned to Hamilton and took a taxi from there to the hotel.

Rosewood Bermuda Island Brasserie
In the evening, we went to the Island Brasserie, the main restaurant of the hotel. It describes itself as a steakhouse, but there are other dishes too.

The food was of good quality, as you might expect, but the prices were not exactly low.

I think I am desentisized too much. $125pp is just... eh. Par for the course.
But then you think of it in context of other expenses, even with the general inflation, it's a lot of money.

We started the day with breakfast. This time we were able to sit outside, where we were also under observation.

We ordered relatively cautiously. Apart from tea, 2 smoothies and 2 juices, we had avocado toast and French toast.

When the bill came, we were glad that breakfast was included. Otherwise I would have eaten everything again backwards.

We were feeling a bit lazy that day and spent it in the resort. We had room service for lunch.

I can't remember the price exactly, but all in probably around $80. Too expensive, of course, but good.

I have already reported on the beach club, about which I have mixed feelings. But there is a second beach, Harbor Beach. It offers the same water sports as the beach club and is actually hardly advertised.
Let's start with the obvious. On the positive side, the beach is very sheltered and while it is almost impossible to enter the water at the beach club because of the waves, it is very quiet here. It is almost paradise. But unfortunately the beach is sandwiched between two concrete walls, which makes it quite unattractive. Apart from the concrete, it is also only moderately well maintained, one could also say dirty. You can leave a lot behind because nobody really wants to sunbathe here. The water is very shallow and also great for children.

By the way, the beach is also a good place for snorkeling, there is even a bit to see.

In the evening we went to the Beach Club for dinner. The restaurant tables were nicely set and the view was very beautiful.

The menu focuses on fish, and the prices are as expected.

The food: the starter and main course were really good, especially the lobster, which tasted great.

The crme brle for dessert was good, but I didn't like the little cake so much.

You are sorely tried:

one last look at the pool at night.

Snorkeling Tour
I definitely wanted to have a good snorkeling experience this time, so I booked a tour with Island Tour Center. The price was $80 per person plus a $5 non-refundable booking fee. They shouldn't give it back under any circumstances. Then, the day before the tour, I got this message.

I see! So you offer a lot of tours and if you don't have enough people you cancel and still collect $5 per person. That's a business model, of course. In Germany, something like that would definitely be inadmissible or ineffective. Whether it is admissible in Bermuda remains to be seen, but who would sue for $10 in Bermuda?
Fortunately, the alternative tour suited us, so we rebooked.
If you didn't need a taxi, there were at least three waiting in front of the hotel. Today, however, none came for ages. We barely found a car and for around $30 we went to Flat Dock. The pier is located opposite the aquarium in a beautiful bay. Our boat was already there.

After a while, the captain came and explained that the boat was broken. They couldn't go. At least they gave us back the full price plus the booking fee. Still, it was kind of annoying. At least we were then able to visit the aquarium across the way, so the more than $60 for the taxi wasn't completely wasted.

Bermuda Aquarium & Zoo
Instead, there was an aquarium with a small zoo. There is also an attached natural history museum. Nothing big, but quite pretty. The entrance fee of $10 per person is almost cheap for Bermuda.

So they cancelled your original tour for low participation, had you travel $30 taxi worth to another location, cancelled that tour and only then did they deign it worth to return the booking fee.
Jesus, what a scummy company.
