For US prices, very good. I'm not expecting to be in DC any soon, but if I do happen to travel there, I'll put in on my list for sure.

Well, many things including prices went loopy. It's good when something at the center of the craziness is positively out of the ordinary.

You did your homework! Other than the Dumbarton Oaks museum, for me, I've been to all of the other WDC venues. There are residents in my own backyard, with the exception of the National Cathedral, that have no familiarity with some of the venues you visited.

Your Baltimore adventures remind me that I need to visit again soon as its been a few years since I've visited.

In my opinion, Baltimore is underrated.

I visited a few museums in Washington, but I'm not finished yet. I left out some things like the Declaration of Independence, but I remembered it well enough. Of course, I didn't manage to do everything in just four nights.

Tha Hay Adams Washington

It's breakfast time again. The most interesting dish on the menu for me is an oatmeal souffle. It took half an hour, so quite a while. But it was worth it, it was really good.

St. John's Episcopal Church Washington

The church is directly opposite the Hay Adams, and it was already visible in the photos from the room.

The church has often been used for presidential occasions.

White House Washington

I guess everyone knows it, but it's part of a Washington report.

That's quite a nice trip you put together there, offerendum. Bermuda's always been on my list of desired destinations, but so too now are the Washington/Philadelphia/Baltimore area, which I've passed through numerous times via car, train and plane, but never properly visited. Perhaps this fall... Thanks for the inspiration

I always wondered what happened to that horse lamp that for years was stabled at the far end of the Concorde Room terrace. Does it now stand guard over the entrance to the BA First Lounge?

The area is really worth a visit. Glad I did my second one.
Don't know if the lamp is excactly the same, but it could be.

Few people know this but the horse lamps are actually free and you can just take them home!

(great report, by the way. slowly but thoroughly enjoyed it)

Ah yes. I think they have even reserved rows for them if London is not your final destination.
