aren't those just the pmCO BF J seats? Those don't look like the new Polaris seats.
What do you think? How do the "Polaris" Seats in the pmCO Boeing 777-200ER look today?
Just give me a link with a photo of a pmCO Boeing 777-200ER Polaris seat - and then let's compare your photo with my photo.

From 2012... not sure where the sarcasm is directed because the response seems out of line.
I'm really not clear if you're suggesting that this is a new product, or if the cabin has just been renamed.

Why is my response out of line?
Your photo shows a pmCO Boeing 777-200ER J cabin.
It's the same J cabin that I was in on my flight.
So I don't the comment that this is the old pmCO Boeing 777-200ER cabin in my video/photo and not the new Polaris Boeing 777-200ER cabin.
I mean, there is - according to my knowledge - no difference between them.

Just so you can update the knowledge piece, here is the local wiki. I will just copy and paste what is needed:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showwiki.php?t=1769733
"In setting out to create a transformative business class experience, United chose to outfit its widebody fleet with a custom-designed, exclusive-to-United seat, rather than select an option already in the marketplace. Designed in partnership with Acumen Design Associates and PriestmanGoode and manufactured by Zodiac Seats United Kingdom, each United Polaris seat will offer direct access to the aisle, 180-degree flat-bed recline and up to 6 foot 6 inches of bed space."
And direct from the united site. Some pretty cool pictures from their Polaris Designed Seat showing the 1-2-1 configuration:

Other than that, I liked your report!

You were on a pmCO 777, with pmCO seats.
Thus, the new knowledge piece is wrong.
Not the hard product, but the soft product by name.

But you are aware that the old pmCO 777 J seats are marketed as "United Polaris" today.
Thus, the new knowledge piece is wrong.
So, it was wrong from me to call the travel class Polaris. I mean, UA marketed this cabin as Polaris, hence, I see nothing wrong in naming it as UA names it.

Which is why your reaction from the above poster was out of line.
You were provided with the appropriate information, what you do with it is your business.
Have a great day!

The cabin is the new name, with bedding and pillows and potentially a bear. The seats are not the new Polaris Business Seats.

And aviatorzz has already confirmed that Polaris is not equal a new seat.

This flight was taken pre-Polaris (Dec 01, 2016), correct?
How do I konw? Old crockery in your breakfast photos that was replaced last December.
There is nothing wrong with old reports -- I post many on my own blog. I enjoyed this report. But you include so much detailed infomation in your first photo: I recommend also including your flight date next time.
