Astonishing, really, that so much creative energy has been wasted (yes boys & girls, wasted) on trying to sink the boot into me for "bullying" some bloke than none of you know from Adam.
Rest assured that I really do love children and animals, and would do anything to protect them (unless they were standing someplace that had to be bombed in the national interest).
You really have to wonder about the motivation for all the grandstanding. Does anyone here REALLY think that my opinion, or future actions, are likely to be influenced?
Of course not.
Salveing your own consciences, no doubt.
As I said, it's a hard world. There are those who will succeed & get what they want, those who won't, and those who will die trying. I'll take A or C, you lot can have B.
No, I'm not examining the validity of your argument at some deep ID-like level, your Fraudian notions of "inner child" are way off base. You would do well to either hunt down Otto Rank's work on the notion of WILL, or (probably easier) learn German and find current editions of his work in the original language.
Psychobabble aside, I agree that travelling is a "competitive sport", and that those who choose to be victims will be victims.
Choose your target wisely.
This means that healthy adult males are fair game. I'll gladly stand for a two-hour train ride and surrender my seat to a lady or elderly/ infirm man (golly gosh, even Asians) but everyone else can join the bearpit. If they don't have the balls to tell people like me to go to hell (and I have to wonder how many of those claiming to do so, actually WOULD when confronted) then they get to wear it.
Do I re-evaluate people, and modify my behaviour toward them accordingly? Sure, after putting them to the test. If they pass, welcome to the fold. If they don't, then the peasants can step aside.
This is getting grossly off-topic. Anyone who feels compelled to save my soul can do so via email - </font>

It's funny... despite your best efforts to show otherwise, you have all the sophistication and class of a brick.
As one of the airline employee "droids" for whom you show so much disdain, let me be the first to say that people like you are among my favorite ones to deal with... while there aren't a whole lot of folks quite as insecure as you appear to be and with inferiority complexes quite as massive as yours, few things give me as much pleasure as putting people like you in their place. You can only take advantage of the system for so long. Eventually somebody figures it out and lowers the boom. So while you might take great pleasure in thumbing your nose at everybody and showing off your great intelligence and sophistication and generally frustrating everybody that has taken a few moments to voice their disgust, you don't frustrate me one bit. It'll catch up to you sooner or later. And the best part is, one of those "droids" will be the one that figures it out.
See you in the bear pit, shillard.

Let me let you in on something.
You're really not cool or in control at all. The only people you impress with your affected confidence are your own person, and those of equally little innate self-esteem.
The more you assert your "I'm the king of the world" disposition and display your faux equanimity, the more you manifest - and, sadly, reinforce - your insecurities. Tough, in control, and hot-to-trot on the outside, all to overcompensate for an immature and hysterically self-conscious emotional weakling on the inside. Megalomania is not that other polysyllabic stuff whose name begins with an "M" that one can take for jetlag.
Ever wonder why airline droids just can't seem to leave you anything but a mouthful of pig's arse or bull? Ever wonder why pax would relish moving themselves to a less desirable seat rather than entertain the opportunity of spending a long international flight in enlightening conversation with someone of such obvious superiority?
Suspend your delusional, "It's because I'm me" thoughts, and entertain the more probable reason that these people take one look at you, see you for the piece of work that you are, and decide you clearly aren't worth a lot of their time or effort.
May Karma visit your kindred spirit... which, in light of the way your trips go, it sounds like it already does.

People like this are the very reason I hate for us to be referred to as 'elite', or having 'status'. It's just bollocks. We fly a lot, that's all. Doesn't make us better people, does it?
One day, I hope I sit next to shillard...I'd LOVE it!
shillard - here's a little secret for you - I was a Passenger Service Agent for a certain airline for 7 years. Whenever I was confronted by passengers such as yourself, I always found that miraculously, I suddenly had no upgrade seats available and the only seat left was 39E, under the centre engine on an MD11...
(Question to my American friends - Is 'Twat' used in the US?)

Presumably the blindingly obvious hypocrisy of "you have an inferiority complex, wait until I put you in your place!" escapes you?
Upset at your job being called droid work? If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck - it's a duck. I've done droid work - didn't like it, but it beats no work at all. Any problems you have with your occupation are entirely your affair.
It's been said - travelling is a competitive sport. You may not like it, but that's just tough - either adapt or flounder.

Gods, another neo-Fraudian wannabe. The self-help book market has a hell of a lot to answer for. Spare us the layman's analysis - it's worth precisely what I paid for it.
Ever wonder why airline droids just can't seem to leave you anything but a mouthful of pig's arse or bull?
Considering the exceptional service I'm accustomed to receiving from QF & AA (and their affiliates).....no, I can't rightly say I have. Unlike plenty of air travellers, I don't find a whole lot to whinge about when flying. But do feel free to keep digging.
Ever wonder why pax would relish moving themselves to a less desirable seat rather than entertain the opportunity of spending a long international flight in enlightening conversation with someone of such obvious superiority?
Ever tire of rhetorical questions?

As an offshoot of our research into deic flux, an effective karmic shield was perfected years ago. Hardly surprising that you're not aware of it.

Folks, don't waste time trying to reason with this pathetic creep..just go to http://www.flyertalk.com/feedbacktxt.php and register your views there. The more people who do this, the sooner he'll get the chop from this forum and he can go and wallow in his own crapulence some place else!

Shiitlard, do you behave the way you do on a Cathay Pacific flight? The plane is after all, full of (in your opinion) weak-minded asians whom you can bark your way up to an upgrade.
Hmm , maybe you haven't noticed how the cabin crew seem to be extra nice to a pomp of an arse to you as they're already spit in your soup and rolled your bun on the floor before being served to you with a smile!

Your devotion to the democratic ideal of "freedom of expression" is duly noted. Did you get your SS blood group tattoo removed with laser treatment?

Necessity is, after all, the mother of invention.
The plane is after all, full of (in your opinion) weak-minded asians whom you can bark your way up to an upgrade.
You really should learn to distinguish between your own fantasies, and the actual issues at hand. I don't recall mentioning anything about Asians having a greater propensity to be "weak minded" than any other ethnic group. Perhaps you would care to quote an example?
Or perhaps not....might bring your bull**** story miserably unstuck - eh?
Hmm , maybe you haven't noticed how the cabin crew seem to be extra nice to a pomp of an arse to you as they're already spit in your soup and rolled your bun on the floor before being served to you with a smile!
And their reason for doing so would be....because I managed to upset a bunch of mindless ninnies on some internet board? Sorry, I don't smell sufficient motivation there. I smell something, but it's not motivation.
It's an unfriendly world out there, sunshine. Build a bridge and get over it.

In any case, a personality like yours can hardly avoid being noticed - what with your "competition sport" approach to flying as well as your aggressive attitude toward other passengers. I'm sure a well-trained flight crew, such as those found on Cathay Pacific, will find the appropriate way to deal with you.
