On an Austrian flight VIE-JFK in late Sept., just days after American airspace was reopened to European airlines there were about 10 other pax in Y except me and just two in C on a 330-200 (carrying smth. like 240 pax in Y and 40 in C with AUA).
I took advantage and watched a movie on my screen while having an eye on the front and downward camera view on the two screens to my left plus playing video games on a fourth monitor to my right. One of the most funny flights I remember so far...

3 PAX in 320
Were onec 3 PAX in a 320 from HAJ to MUC (Last Flight on a Friday).
My Father and me in C and an other guest in Y.
They let the guest in Y sit in C -> "So we do not have to walk so much and you can enjoy the C Service."
Was one of the best services. Had lots of funny talks with the crew and got one of the best domestic Services! (Went home with lots of chocklat for our wives...).

STR-BRE is the Daimler Christler shuttle.. and obviously nobody working in BRE had to go to head office in STR that day.

I don't remember exactely when, it must be about ten years ago on a flight from BSL to MUC, that i've been the only passenger. Metal Fokker F 50. The Captain has greeted me by name and wished a pleasant flght. Two FAs worked very hard to please all my wishes.

I remember when LH introduced a day-time flight from SIN to FRA a couple of years ago, maybe 5 years ago, (- given up already ..) - I was one of 2 passengers in C. I was given a bottle of Shiraz as a present when leaving the aircraft (- obviously because I enjoyed it that much during the flight ....)
. Very caring crew, too.
I have to say that, nowadays, I only got FULL cabins, - it even doesnt matter in which class I am flying ...

My parents were the only pax on an inner-german connecting flight to FRA in april. LH called them 3 hours prior to departure and asked them to come for the earlier flight which was already standing for one hour on the rollway (nearly fully booked). The LH agent told my father that they would wait another half to full hour for them, if they can hurry up and can get by.
It was impossible for them and my father offered to arrange to get to FRA on his own if he gets a compensation. The LH agent refused and said that they will find a solution as far as they are at the airport. When my parents arrived, the earlier flight was gone. They had an ongoing flight in F to JNB from FRA, so it was necessary to get to FRA and LH arranged a plane only for them, because the time was to short to get there by car. If the LH agent would have been a bit more flexible on the phone, my father had arrange a transfer to FRA on his own and LH would have saved a lot of money.
When they arrived with a delay at FRA, they were picked up with the Cayenne and were brought to the plane going to JNB. My father told me that it was the best flight he ever got and he felt very close to a VIP flying in his own private jet.

Ailing Air Zimbabwe criticised for flying lone passenger 6,000 km
(DPA)
30 May 2005
HARARE - Zimbabwes struggling national airline has been criticised by the government for launching a new route from Harare to Dubai which saw the national carrier recently flying home with one passenger, the state-controlled Herald newspaper reported on Monday.
It is the first official confimation of the incident involving an Air Zimbabwe Boeing 737 flight from Dubai to Harare. Private media, which initially reported the story, suggested the flight of a single passenger 6,000 kilometres might set a new record in commercial aviation history.
Its maiden trip to Dubai about two weeks ago took off with 49 passengers on board ... before cruising back more than 6,000 kilometres with a lone passenger, the Herald said. The paper said the 205-seater plane needed 120 passengers to break even.
The Herald quoted a senior official in the transport ministry as saying many problems at the airline stem from inept management. He criticised managers for launching the Harare-Dubai route without assessing its viability.
Zimbabwe has been pursuing alternative markets to substitute for traditional Western ones following criticism of President Robert Mugabes government by Britain, the European Union and the United States.

6 pax on a US Airways 757-200, MIA - PHL
Right after 9/11, I flew US Airways from Miami to Philadelphia several times. On one particular early morning flight, the gate agents announced that due to the extreme light load of the flight, all passengers could board at the same time. This was at a time when US Airways still offered full First Class amenities and their 757s had 24 seats in First Class. All in all, there were two Chairman's Preferred members sitting in First Class, and four passengers in Coach. There was a total of eight flight crew members onboard (2 cockpit, 6 cabin).
No, the cabin crew did not invite any of the 4 pax in Y to sit in F.
