Yeah, I'd say if "luxurious accommodation and infrastructure" are important to you, there's no way you're going to make it to all of them. Some places, that just doesn't exist...but to me, that's part of the fun!

Those are not too important to me, but very important to her. And her going with me is very important to me. So sucks to be me.

Absolutely.
Just back from Rarotonga (#126). We stayed at a guesthouse next to a hotel that charged more for a night than we paid for 6 nights. Same beach, same surroundings, and it's not like one spends time in the room except to sleep.
No more new additions for me until December. I hope that I can be at 150 by the time I turn 35, but it's hard to find new places that interest me.

What list are you using? Cook Islands aren't a UN member, so I wouldn't include them on the list of 194 I'm trying to get to.

I however don't think that the TCC list has any credibility.

Okay, let's see.
Australia
Canada
United Kingdom
United States
New Zealand
Thailand
Japan
Singapore
France
Spain
Italy
Luxembourg
Switzerland
Germany
Belgium
The Netherlands
Not spectacular but I have plenty of time ahead of me to get to many more interesting places. I'm toying with some trips that would see me visiting Oman, Sudan, Hong Kong, India, Bhutan, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Korea, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Brazil over the next few years.
