What do you do while airborne?
I thought that this might be interesting - if it hasn't been a topic of a previous thread... .

How do you get any work done while flying? I find business class to be a very productive time to work, to the point where I usually regret not trying to sleep more on my flights. One of my most productive 24 hour blocks of work ever was SYD-SIN-LHR (my first time on the SQ A380), but I am usually very productive in CW or F on BA, and even in row 1 of CE when it's not just a short hop to DUB or AMS.
By contrast, I find it difficult to even open my laptop in shorthaul Y other than an exit row or bulkhead, and if someone is in the middle seat, it's pretty difficult to work comfortably for more than short while.

I drink.
I eat.
I sleep a little.
But I mostly drink.
And watch a little tv if I'm not traveling with a companion.

I try to only travel for work mon-thurs. Therefore on true day flights I try to do some work that I have been neglecting. On overnight/early morning/late evening flights I rest and sleep as much as possible.
On personal flights, I drink champagne where possible and read my book or watch a movie!

I've always found it difficult to work on board.
Typically, when I've needed to work when travelling, I'll focus all my lounge time on working. If I need to do a bit more to finish on board - prior to the first meal service - then fair enough, but I just can't concentrate on work in the air as well as I can on the ground.
That said, I have always liked the me-time when travelling (alone on business). Some edible food, IFE and BA cabin crew who are extremely adept at re-filling my wine glass means I'm in a very comfortable state, and not one that's conducive to working after a couple of hours in.
Therefore I think my attitude to work on board is kind-of circular, linked to quaffable wine.

I sleep. In between sleep I take naps. I get up and use the restroom. Then I try to get some sleep.

Personally,I can not sleep while on the aircraft at all and if I do fall asleep it will be for 20 minutes or so,followed by a headache.I also have zero interest to IFE,I turn on the flight map prior to take off and don't touch the IFE untill landing.
As someone who really loves aviation,I love to talk to the people in this industry and often have long chats with the crew (most of my flights are long haul Y),after they finish the service.Sometimes we really have long long talks, sometimes I feel like the crew on a particular flight are not in the mood,so I leave them alone. It all depends.
Otherwise I agree with the above, flying is all about me time.

I try to get some work done. I load some videos on my iPad to keep up on an instructional series I subscribe to.

I have never been able to sleep on a plane.
Short, as in 3 hours or so, headphones on and read books on iPad.
Longer, headphones on and movies on iPad. MIA to EZE was four movies and a little reading.
