As this thread really isn't relevant to flying AA, or flying in general for that matter, the moderator team have decided to send this one over to OMNI.

Jimmy Page must have gotten some work done or really cleaned his act because a few years ago he looked bad. I think David Bowie, Bruce Dickinson, Jon Bongiovi and Lindsay Buckingham are aging okay.

I would likely have enjoyed sitting next to him or anybody that's not dressed in a conservative fashion. Diversity is what makes this world such an interesting place.

Exactly. If they are sitting in F there's probably a reason. They probably are making more than you, and are probably doing something a heck of a lot more interesting. Maybe you have a thing or two to learn from them.

Not that there's really anything off topic here but there is a precedent of suitably established over in TravelBuzz. Please follow the discussion there.

I have no doubt you are, but why would you want to look like that & draw un needed attention to your self ?

I've heard that Bowie has some heart problems these days, even though he was always more likely to invest his music profits than to snort or drink them. Bruce Dickinson probably has had to keep himself in respectable shape in order to keep his pilot's license in good standing though.

Why do people wear any clothes at all that are more tailored or fashioned than a burlap sack? I mean, why wear a suit, or a tie, or a pretty red dress? Why would women want to put on makeup, or why would anyone want to wear jewelry? Oh the horror - attracting attention!!

Are you for real, or is this a meta-sarcastic response? The fact that your location is CLT sadly makes me think you're legit, though.

I continue to believe that as long as your armpits and feet are covered (i.e., dressed in a sanitary manner), your dress has absolutely no impact on my enjoyment of my flight. I'd much rather sit next to this guy than the person who props their bare feet up on the bulkhead.

YOU'RE the guy in grey driving the plain Crown Vic!

But think about it - some folks crave to stand out, and it makes it so much easier for LE, so it can be a good thing (I worry less about appearance than behavior, heh heh).

Now here's my question on that... Is someone who is going to steal something or hurt someone intentionally draw attention to themselves? It seems to me someone who plans on walking into a store with the idea of shoplifting is going to try and look as normal and unsuspicious as possible. I always felt that we somehow let media stereotypes play into our judgement in real life.
