61- I’m going waaaaaaay out on a limb here to guess Edmonton-Oakland (OAK) was a Canadian Airlines 737-200 stopping in Vancouver (YVR) ... and the flight may have actually originated at the old City Centre airport (YXD) rather than YEG

After I saw my guess was incorrect (other than it was a 737-200), I was wondering if CP ever tried scheduled service to OAK (don't remember if it flew to SFO pre-Open Skies or if AC did) but I don't recall. If it did, your answer was what I was pondering.

61. (1988) Even though you live in Edmonton, you have always been a fan of the Oakland A’s. No particular reason why – you just are, eh? Maybe it’s the green and gold colors. Or that darned elephant on their jerseys. Whatever. When you read that the A’s are offering a special three game package that includes hotel accommodations for its upcoming series against the Toronto Blue Jays (Your other favorite team) you know you’ve just got to go. And Hey! Hey! Hey! Is this your lucky day or not?? There’s a one-stop direct flight from Edmonton straight through to Oakland International! Yeah, Baby! Book it! And Go, A’s!
Per Toshbaf: This is not going to be easy.....Delta Air Lines, SLC stop, Boeing 727-200

Good tries all, gentlemen - but alas, you're all wrong. Keep in mind the aircraft was a 737-200 and that it originated out of Edmonton YEG. None of you have yet identified the correct enroute stop. But I'm confident one of you will. Soon.
Good luck, men! Please, guess again!

78. (1995) Youre flying from Ft. Lauderdale to Freeport, Bahamas. Most of the time youre used to smaller jets or worse props on the short 30 minute flight. Imagine then your surprise and delight to discover that one airline actually operates a wide body aircraft on this route. Please identify the aircraft and the airline serving this route.
It's not Carnival. The flight operated just once weekly...
I'll guess American Trans Air (ATA) operating an L-1011
Sorry about my miss on this one, JL, and thanks for the heads up. I wish I could reward your patience with a Correct! but alas, we're looking for a different airline and aircraft type here. Please, guess again!,

Per jrl767: One more try on YEG-XXX-OAK: America West via Phoenix (PHX)
Per Toshbaf: A losing answer but still an answer... United YEG-YYC-OAK
Aw c'mon T - that's no way to submit a partially correct answer. Head's up, bud... Both of you have submitted partially correct answers. Between you both, you've come up with the correct answer. Now then, whatever could it be...?

And BTW, the airport serving Freeport (FPO) is reported to be currently under five feet of water due to the storm surge produced by Hurricane Dorian.

Wild guess time.....Condor operating a B767-300.
Wild indeed. It was not Condor, but you're on to something here with a European airline...

Per strickerj: Sorry to sneak in - I’ve been busy the last couple weeks, but I’ve got a guess on this one now that it’s been narrowed down. I take it jrl is correct on the aircraft (737-200) and T is correct on the airline (United). I seem to recall them having a feeder flight between OAK and SFO, which was the shortest jet flight in the U.S. at the time, so I’ll say the stop was SFO. (I mean, it could also be DEN or ORD, but that wouldn’t make for an interesting quiz question, now would it?)
Per toshbaf: America West, YEG-YYC-OAK
No apologies needed, strickerj. Until they're ultimately answered correctly, all questions are fair game to all participants.
That said, toshbaf has correctly identified the airline and routing. Here's the schedule...
America West HP 1246 Edmonton (YEG) 615a-655a Calgary (YYC) 720a-845a S Oakland (OAK) 737-200 Daily

62. (1983) Now it’s easier than ever for people who live in and around Portland, Maine to take their chances on the tables at Atlantic City now and then. One airline has risen to the challenge with a single daily direct one-stop flight between Portland and Atlantic City. Identify the airline, the aircraft and the enroute stop.
70. (1982) As one who actually enjoys flying, you have decided to pass on the nonstop and the two one-stop flights to enjoy a three-stop air tour between Birmingham, Alabama and Chicago, Illinois. I mean… what better way to spend an afternoon, right? As such, you’ve booked yourself on a three stop marathon that includes a snack and a dinner enroute. Even better, you’ve splurged and booked yourself a First Class seat. Identify the airline, enroute stops and equipment you’ll be flying upon.

72. (1988) Eastern Airlines used to offer nonstop service between New Orleans and Mexico City. Sadly, that service is no more. These days, your only options are a connection in either Houston or Dallas OR a single direct two stop flight departing New Orleans each afternoon. You’ll book the direct flight, please. Identify the airline, aircraft and the two enroute stops.
75. (1982) The Denver to Las Vegas market is served by five airlines offering nonstop flights. Only two of the airlines offer First Class service while the other three operate all-economy class configured jets. Can you identify each of the five airlines while differentiating those that offer First Class versus all-economy class cabins?
76. (1988) José needs to fly from Albuquerque to Minneapolis. Who does he call? Why, his travel agent of course. And there’s good news! Although there are no nonstop flights between Albuquerque and Minneapolis, there is a single daily one-stop direct flight departing Albuquerque every morning. Ay Chihuahua! Book it, José! What airline and aircraft will José be flying upon? And where will his intermediate stop be?
77. (1988) This airline operated just two scheduled flights – one in each direction four days a week between just one city pair. The aircraft in question was narrow bodied and did not offer a First Class cabin. Can you identify the airline, aircraft and city pair?

Nor was it a DC-9-30 and neither of the cities you've mentioned were in the routing. Please, guess again!
