Tips and tricks for getting a full can on the flight
Seems to be pretty random. What are your tips and tricks for getting a full can on US based airlines?

Ask for it?
I fly UA, primarily, and never have a problem getting a full can.

I ask for both a soda and a glass of water.

Though mine is usually ginger ale or club soda. I have been denied once in the past 200ish flights.

I always ask the FA for a full can. One gave me a dirty look, but I have always gotten the full can.

Agree it depends on the airline. As others have mentioned, UA always gives the full can. But I've also had plenty of success asking for the can. Don't be afraid!

Why should the FA be angry or give you a dirty look? Never understood that.
It`s not as if she is paying for it or it is coming out of her pay. Infact it is easier just to give the whole can instead of pouring it into a glass separately..What gives??

I slum it in coach. It seemed easier back there...they would simply drop off a can for you and move on.
In F they just pour a couple of ounces in a thin glass with ice.

4 of the last 5 times I've flown I've been given the can without even asking. I guess AS is better than I thought.

I usually get the can without asking. The best way though to insure it, if you dont mind drinking from the can itself, just ask for no cup.

Like others, I just ask for it. No problems.
