The main reason feet are grosser than hands is shoes, the inconsistent application
of which at least.

Tickle them! Then when they react, act all shocked as to who in the world would put their gross feet up so close like that. lol!

Actually, I do have the right to ask you to close the window shade. But you also have the right not to close it.

I stand up.... my head touches the ceiling in a MD88... I have a foot and 100 lbs on this guy...not that I was gonna fight him.... I say " Yessir, I do not care about you.... Then, everyone in first class starts clapping.... it was an epic moment in aviation history... i am glad to have been a part of it...
That is awesome! I have gotten this type once when flying from SFO to DFW. I have to say most people in all classes of the plane have been polite.

They did not offer to take my coat (took everyone else's...had to hang up my own coat behind me). Last one to get drink after takeoff. Did not take my garbage even though I was sitting in the aisle with my newspapers in hand ready to put them in the bag (the FA walked right by me). Stuff like that just irks me, especially since I'm typically the only woman in F, and probably look like the youngest, although I'm probably not the youngest. I think the female FAs have a problem with me. I really believe they look at an attractive, successful woman and get P.O.'d. This only happens with female FA's...that same day, on an CRJ, I was #2 to board, and the female FA told me that I couldn't bring on two carryons (HUH?). She said it's a rule on smaller planes. Since when? ....I don't know if it's me or what, but the treatment I seem to get from female FAs is really getting aggravating. Either I'm doing something wrong, or...? I am usually quiet and keep to myself...
Totall, 100% feel your pain. I get the same treatment from female FAs (not offering drinks, not taking coats, making up rules) for the same reasons. It's very annoying indeed. I'm paying for my seat and shouldn't be treated any differently because an FA feels jealous or whatever that I am in the FC seat and she is not. Female GAs aren't any better--I once had to wait until the VERY LAST minute for an upgrade that I knew I was going to get (like 6 seats available) because the GA knew that I was at the top of the list (I had approached the counter when I got to the gate) and felt that it was more important to chit-chat with the other GA over processing my u/g. Whatever! Just mind your own business and kill them with kindness when you have to interact with them.

why is there this assumption that passenger behavior in first class is any different than passenger behavior in coach?

If I ever get to ride first class, I won't be complaining about it. That's all I have to say.

Tell me about it!! haha I'm trying to sleep on a plane, not act like it's a freaking restaurant.

I choose my window because I want to have the view and natural light, not going to sacrify the perks come from my choice of seat.

There is no right to request someone to close to shade for your enjoyment not unless the person by the window is sleeping. Whenever I sit by aisle, I had never asked anyone by the window to close or open the shade, even some of them close the shade the entire flight from take off to landing.

Really? So I could just sit there and pull the shade up and down the entire flight, cuz it's MINE not YOURS! Come on--that's just the type of boorish behavior this thread was started to criticize. As soon as they create a special airplane window that only casts light on the window seat then you can claim it as YOUR window and do whatever; until then you're obligated to be considerate and thoughtful to the other pax. Our seats in F are not our fiefdoms. Be a mensch not a putz.

I flew JFK > SAN in the F bulkhead, and the moron sitting next to me was changing the AVOD w/ his toe.

And, he had that smug "I'm changing the AVOD w/ my toe" look on his face... that's what really got me

1. IND- SLC in F. "Lady" next to me picked her nose the entire trip and use the back of the seat in front of her to wipe her fingers. I tried to pretend to asleep.
2. DTW-SAN in F. Guy decided to shave his corns and dropped skin on the floor.
3. On numerous flts people tend to have the tendency to follow my email on my computer screen. I prefer not to use privacy screens. Once the guy next to me actually made a grammar suggestion on a sentence in the email.

i agree. Now, here is a question i have always had. WHat about that 2nd window that is usually between the 1st and 2nd row of many planes. If your in the 1st row and you lean back, the window is by you. However, if you do not lean back, the window is in the 2nd row. whose responsibility is that window?

Truly funny story.

But what is worse - the DYKWIA crowd, or the "the epic moment where I can save the world" pax?

(Also, did I use epic moment correctly?

Was travelling LHR-SIN recently on SQ. In J though not F ...

There was this lady in some flashy work clothes, LV bag, some branded laptop case and the blackberry sitting across the aisle. Seems like a regular business traveller with all the bling. However, some oddities stood out, she took a while to fold the seat a bed (guess she didn't know where the release catch was) plus she didn't seem very happy when the stewardess gently woke her up for breakfast and offered her the hot wet towel. (If one doesn't want to be woken up for brekkie or slightly later, all they have to do is inform the crew and they will make a note of it) Then when the announcement was made for preparations for landing. The cat was let out of the bag. This lady came to me and asked "How do I fold the bed back to a chair?"
