Does FlightAware or Flight Radar 24 provide ship numbers? I can't seem to find that data for international flights.

What do you mean by the "ship numbers"? If you're asking about the aircraft registration (aka tail number), like N101AA or D-AILF, the answer is "yes, FR24 provides them" and "no, Flight Aware does not".

Historical data (few years back) can be found using ACARS logs or planefinder.net (via the app). Older data is tricky is to find. Somebody had an extensive archive of ACARS logs for Atlantic crossings (going back to the early 1990s) but that was hosted on Geocities and vanished together with Geocities. Incidentally, if someone has copies of these logs please pm me.

I wonder if I can ask the forum for information, as I seem unaware to get it ( unless paid ). Please, can I get from somewhere info about the following flights :
W6 3259 on 23.12.2016 ( I remember it was delayed a few good hours, but Wizz says it was only one hour )
W6 3260 on 06.01.2017 ( now that was a good 6 hours at least ! ).
Thank you.

Many airlines refer to registration numbers or aircraft numbers as the ship number. Delta is one example. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction on where to find some of this information!

Hi,

New user posting here and I hope this doesn't fall foul of any rules and that you guys might be able to help me or at least point me to somewhere else that can!

I'm a little bit OCD and have a spreadsheet of all the flights I have been on and am trying to find the registration numbers (if that is the right term to use) of the aircraft (and also the type of plane flown in a couple of instances).

I appreciate that it may not be possible for flights from such a long period ago! Just wondering how long the data goes back to? (I have data from Jan 2017 onwards thanks to flightradar24/Flightaware) Also the distance travelled on these earliest flights are just the standard circle mapper distances so I know they are not very accurate.

I hope this makes sense to someone!

Thanks,

Stevie

Hi,

how can i find out the exact arrival time for flight LH 779 (SIN-FRA), dated 13 Nov 2017.
It started with 4+h delay, arrived with delay as well, but do not remember exactly.

Thank you in advance,

I found on flightera.net/flight_details/Lufthansa/LH779/WSSS/2017-11-13
Departure: scheduled 00:55; actual 05:18.Arrival:scheduled 06:10, actual 10:42.

There must be a mistake in your numbers. You mention the flight left with 4h23min delay and arrived with 4h32min delay. That would mean the flight time was 13h24min. That's extraordinary long. I don't believe it as the normal flight time on SIN - FRA is 12h+.

Hi Athome,

Not sure what is your point.
Maybe is one hour difference in your calculation, you need to consider that the flight was during the European winter time, which changes the hours difference between Singapore and Germany from 6h in EU summer to 7h in EU winter.

departed: 5:18 Singapore time.
arrived: 10:42 Germany time in Nov = 17:42 Singapore time
difference: 17.42-5.18 = 12.24h

Thank you for your email,
AJ

but then the planned flight time would only have been 12h15 (6:10 + 7 - 0:55). That's not possible neither, as the planned "flight time" is 13h15.
