Hi Athome,
I’ll let the answer for the specialists..
so or so, the flight departure and arrival was more than 4h delayed, and acc to EU regulation I can apply for a compensation, so I wrote today to the customer service. I just did not note down when I exactly arrived in FRA, but smtg after 10am.
thank you :
AJ

What do you mean by the "ship numbers"? If you're asking about the aircraft registration (aka tail number), like N101AA or D-AILF, the answer is "yes, FR24 provides them" and "no, Flight Aware does not".
Historical data (few years back) can be found using ACARS logs or planefinder.net (via the app). Older data is tricky is to find. Somebody had an extensive archive of ACARS logs for Atlantic crossings (going back to the early 1990s) but that was hosted on Geocities and vanished together with Geocities. Incidentally, if someone has copies of these logs please pm me.

Also I found this website with ACARS records from 2006 to 2012. Maybe useful to some of you:

I have just discovered that you don't need an app - you can look up aircraft registrations (back to April 2011) also on the website:
1. Go to www.planefinder.net
2. Move the map to the place in the world where your aircraft landed or departed from.
3. Select Map on top and then Playback.
4. Select the date of your flight.
5. Select the time (you need to adjust it as the time selection is done in the local time and playback is in UTC)
6. Start playback.
7. In the search box specify your flight number (e.g. LH1234).
8. Your flight (aircraft) will be shown in red and the label will show the registration (among other things). If you click on the aircraft, a window will open with even more information.
Hope that works for you.
Thanks for the link to the Acars website - I am familiar with it.

I was thinking of building an archive myself (flights departing arriving from europe), I would have access to the necessary server equipment, however I don’t know where I could gather the data from or what program I’d need to use for it. If anybody is i terested in helping me he’d be very welcome

Thanks for the Planefinder info! Unfortunately, I am looking for flights between 1999-2003. Does the app show that data?

I’d be very interested in that data as well. Did you get it?

Generally, older European data is is difficult to find, unless your flight was to/from/over the UK in which the nice people who run the LHR-LGW site (London Heathrow & Gatwick Airports) make the historical data available on their site.

That website doesn't work following those instructions. Just comes up with: For every flight I try to track.

I was able to find the flights without too much hassle (although I had to play a bit with the clock as you didn't mention the departure time):.
23/01/16 MAN-BAS EZY1811 G-EZUM
25/01/16 BAS-MAN EZY1812 G-EZUW
09//07/17 CIA-MAN FR3205 EI-FRG
You must have done something wrong. Make sure that you search at the time when your flight was operating (note the difference between UTC time on the bottom of the screen and the local time you select in the playback menu).
I tried searching for you in a couple of places without any luck. Sorry.. What was the departure time/arrival time?

I am considering subscribing to Flight Radar 24, but just realized that the maximum it goes back is 730 days...I need flights from 1998 and onward, looking international Delta flights exclusively. Any ideas?

Accurate flight arrival time ?
Hi
I've been trying to find the exact flight arrival time of a flight from August 2017. I didn't know until recently that I might be entitled to some compensation so I have now submitted a claim to TUI but they have said the flight was not delayed by 3 hours or more and they are ignoring my request for information re the exact recorded time that the doors were opened as I understand that this is the correct measure in establishing the true delay, I have registered on flightstats but for data from that far back they want $24.99 a month !
Can anyone help please ?
My flight details are:
Airline: TUI Airways
Flight number: TOM2700
Departure airport: Manchester International Airport, MAN
Scheduled departure time: Sun 27/08/17 9:15
Arrival airport: Larnaca Airport, LCA
Many thanks
Tom

Great resource, haven't seen anything else like it out there in my limited experience. That being said, having a similar issue to another poster. I have a ton of flights I'm trying to clean up, but I'll provide one as an example. UA287, ORD-YVR on 12/1/12 (departed around 945am, although may have been a minor delay). Think you can give me a hand and see if you're able to locate?
