Any ides why google flights is not showing flights connecting through HKG recently? I've been to Bangkok 3 times in the past year and flights on UNITED with HKG connections always showed up and they show up when doing a similar search on UNITED.COM right now. Take for instance this flight. https://www.google.com/travel/flight...________AZgBAQ ... There are many flights connecting through HKG on united, but none of them show on google flights.. Thanks if you have any ideas.

Where did the price date grid go? Now that we have that useless Best/Cheapest bar-thing, my price grid option disappeared.....

If this is the price grid you're thinking of, I'm still seeing it at the top right. (Edit: This is in Google Chrome on a Windows laptop.)

Yes.... mine is gone. Replaced by an annoying bar/box that says Best vs. Cheapest options. :-( I have no idea how to upload photos, otherwise I'd post a screenshot. I'm also on Chrome with a Windows laptop.

EDIT: Found it. It appears in the middle of the search now, as opposed to the top of the screen where it was before. That's annoying.
EDIT AGAIN: It doesn't show up for all searches. I can't see it when searching for a r/t Seoul to Mauritius. Doesn't seem to work from Seoul. Strange.
EDIT Part III: Looks like it won't come up if you select the "cheapest" box. You have to select "best". Weird.

Google Flights- Booking Options - Different Prices with Different Booking Sites- why?

I was looking at business class bookings from Ottawa to Zurich- for approx 2 weeks late June 2025.
Flights are on a combination of AC and LX.
Cheapest fare on AC web site was over CAD $8000 (return)
Cheapest fare on LX web site was over CAD $6000 (return)

Going to Google Flights- if one booked on Flight Hub, Cheap O Air, or Just Fly. com- price was under CAD $4000.

I presume the the 3 web sites are third party web sites- offering consolidator fares?
If flying on the airlines booked through those web sites- would I get full benefits through my Star Alliance Gold Status with AC.
Would I get points accrual?

I am sure there are disadvantages associated with the low fares booked through those web sites?

Hmm! On one hand, that's helpful!
On the other hand, most of us had been using the carry-on-bags filter already... and I'm wondering if this new dropdown just needlessly complicates/confuses things (because sometimes economy basic comes with a carry-on bag, right?)

I'm not sure which cases need to be considered because each airline seems to handle BE in a slightly different way, but the bags filter is still there at least for now. So if all one cares about is being able to take a carry-on bag, that option still exists. For those airlines on which "includes carry-on bag" is insufficient to filter out basic economy, then for those who care about elite benefits and/or earnings at regular vs. reduced rate etc. then there is now that ability where there wasn't before.

Are you enrolled in some sort of testing program for new features? I ask because I'm not seeing it on two different browsers. Or maybe they've already rolled it back.

Not that I recall, but I can't swear to it. They might be doing a gradual rollout? Also it only seems to appear on US domestic searches.

EDIT: also Canada and some Caribbean (US territories? STT/SJU but not SXM for example)

The no-BE test has been going for maybe 6 months or so. I am surprised it is taking them that long to roll it out

The BE filter has now been rolled back, at least for me including all my tracked prices that I had changed to exclude BE no longer filter out BE...

... and now it's back. There was also a pop-up highlighting the new filter option, so hopefully it's here to stay now.

Tracked prices that I had added with the "exclude BE" filter have that setting intact though newer tracked items that I added in the interim included BE and had to be tweaked.
