I am trying to check availability for NRT-SHE-ICN APR 16 in Business Class (Class CS?) [Method AF/Skyteam]
NRT-SHE shows 3 seats on CZ The SHE-ICN line is blank. The Air France website will not recognize SHE as a valid originating airport, but accepts it as a destination airport. If I choose a RT Apr 11 ICN-SHE Apr 16, the SHE-ICN return shows up with 3 C seats available (CZ 671). According to an Alitalia ticketing agent, only 2 seats are available. Any pointers why KVS shows 0, AF 3 (but only if selected as part of a round trip), and Alitalia finds only 2? Plus the agent claimed that even if she found the award inventory she was not sure if she would actually be able to book it. |

As noted in the KVS Tool User Guide, the [Awards/SkyTeam] Method provides Availability on a per-trip basis. The Award Availability shown applies to all connecting segments.
Indeed, it is a limitation of that Engine. We have confirmed that 3 C Award Seats are currently available on CZ 628, but only 2 on CZ 671. I'm not sure I get the whole "married segments" concept but it seems what you are saying is the the AF engine is getting tricked into showing 3 seats for the NRT-SHE-ICN routing? And the blank line on KVS (which per your suggestion is the same as the first line, i.e. 3 seats ARE available) is an artifact of the AF bug? Why not? Other than this the agent has been very very nice, in fact she called me back like she promised (unlike reports to the contrary on the AZ boards that the call center agents never do so). She also complimented me on finding the itinerary and has given me till Thursday to find something else :) I need 3 seats in C from Tokyo to Seoul Apr 15/16 with at least one leg not on Korean Airlines (nonstop KE inventory is available, but AZ claims stopovers are not permitted on Single Skyteam Partner awards). |

Continuously getting errors 12007 and 9002 when using FARES/GOL and Awards/BA-OneWorld. Looking for things in Mid January 2015.
The only thing that seems to be reliably working is the Timetable tab. |

Impossible to find all fares when trying to find TUN-SYD on AF: it is limited (no business fares)
Is there a direct class fare research possible as before (eco, premium, biz and first) [KVS Tool 7.7.3/Diamond - Fares/GOL] Code:
TUN Tunis Carthage TN [DTTA] |
Please KVS can you answer how to check all fares on a destination ?
LHR-NYC, you have only a part of eco fares and of course no premium, business or first fares. Are you aware of this horrible limitation and what do you will do to correct this malfunction? Code:
LHR London Heathrow UK [EGLL] |

I have some AA miles, and I am trying to check availability for DFW-AUH-AMD OR DFW-DOH-AMD for FEB 07 in Economy Class for any oneWorld affiliated carrier (including Etihad and Qatar). I tried booking via AA using award miles, but aa.com refused to book to AMD becuase they don't serve that destination. I want to check availibility of tickets with KVS via other oneworld carries such as Qatar or Etihad (technically not full oneworld member). can anyone help me to check the availability please? I am total newbie to this forum, so please forgive me if this is not right place or question?

So what are the longer term plans for this service? The tool is significantly less useful than it was before, not to mention much less user-friendly. Setting aside the elephant in the room that is the theme of the above wiki, and the earlier main thread, what is going to happen t the KVS suite of services in the future?

To be frank, I've subscribed for many years and I'm interested in knowing whether we're going to get back to the previous level of service, and if so, how. If not, that's fine too, but I think we deserve to know.

We are not sure what you are referring to . That theme is a baseless and pointless rant, intertwined with made-up "facts". The Wikipost is not a part of the KVS Tool Thread and we see no merit in addressing it at this time. Being a KVS Tool Member since 2006, you must have, surely, witnessed the evolution of the Tool. Numerous new Methods and Functions were added, while some Engines ceased to exist, together with their corresponding Methods. We always strive to add the relevant functionality, requested by our Members, and will make the relevant announcements, once it is appropriate to do so. However, we are unable to speculate about something that is largely outside of our control. |

That said, double check on the AA requirements for getting to India--generally you can't connect in a different zone than your origin or destination, though there are a couple exceptions. I'd look at the MileSaver thread in the AA forum. Good luck! |

Yes, it has been a great tool up until a few weeks ago (and on that basis I'd be happy to renew). You can't deny that functionality has decreased
We fully appreciate the impact that these changes, both positive and negative, may have on our Members and are always looking for ways of minimizing the latter.

Seems that the JL search isn't working quite right. Given the inputs HKG-BOS on 2 May 2015 on CX, I get:
Data Source Error [RD-3]: "Unsupported Route/Invalid Cabin Class" tl;dr: appears that KVS doesn't correctly pass data to the JL site, or can't correctly interpret the returned data |
Availability tab missing?
Sorry for the rookie question: I recently registered for the KVS Tool and installed on my PC.
But - I don't see the "Availability" tab, and cannot find fare availability info [Screenshot] I can see the seatmap and make roughly sense of the load, but I'd like to use the regular fare availability tool too. Thanks! |
