Searches currently not working:
  • Upgrades - AY, BA, EK, EY, IB, QR, VS
  • Awards - AY, BA, IB, EY, QR, VS

To search AA upgrades:
  • Use the Award & Upgrade tool
  • Only search for individual segments (set the "Connection Preference" drop-down to "Direct/Non-Stop only"). Flight results that are part of a connection won't show the upgrade version of C or A inventory because AA only files upgrade inventory as individual, not married, segments. (Married segments show revenue inventory instead of upgrade inventory.)
  • To avoid confusion, check the "Exclude Codeshares" box, as AA awards and upgrades are not valid on codeshares.

Seat Alert App no longer available on IOS?

I've been having issues with the Seat Alert app (it kept logging me out), so I tried deleting the app with the intention of reinstalling, but the app is no longer in the App store. Did they decommission this app?

Yes. FT support told me a few weeks ago it was no longer available.

This recently happened to me too. Had a Seat Alert set, got no notifications, but manually ran the search again and seats had opened. Days later, I still received nothing from the alert.

Sigh. No point in paying for it if it's not working, I guess.

Is it not working on all airlines? It worked for me on AA two weeks ago...

This was for a Condor flight, which is on the list. The Seat Map search worked fine but the Alerts were not triggering. (and not going to spam)

Same here. Had it happen with an AA and a UA flight as well. ("real" AA/UA", no partners, American Eagle/etc.)
Just happened to remember to check and voila, there it was.

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but is someone able to interpret what constructed RTG means in the context of routing? For example the below?EH01* /WITHIN THE EASTERN HEMISPHERE/ CONSTRUCTED RTG

Normally it says left to right or right to left but this says constructed RTG.

Thanks

This short 2012 thread from the BA forum refers to Ready to Go (RTG) (arriving) pax.

That RTG initialism, while it indeed using the same three letters, has nothing to do with fare construction.

Then I'll venture a guess.

Since there is a mention of "Eastern Hemisphere" it probably refers to a "Round The Globe" fare which on FlyerTalk is more commonly known as Round The World.

It might help to have more context from the rule TheSYDTraveller was quoting, but is it possible that "RTG" is not an abbreviation (given everything's upper case anyway) but simply shorthand for ROUTING?

Fare rules often contain the words "PUBLISHED ROUTING" and/or "CONSTRUCTED ROUTING".

Thanks.

I've attached a snippet and bolded the RTG in question. You could be correct that it constructed routing but I can't say for certain as this does deviate from the more conventional routing rules.

Spoiler

Thanks for everyone's assistance!
