Tech idiot needs iphone help!
I bought the 3G a week or so ago, and it's been cool. Until yesterday, anyway, I realized it doesn't do MMS texting. A friend called and asked me why I hadn't responded to a picture he sent earlier in the day. Not only did I not receive it, there wasn't even a text saying the picture couldn't be opened.
Looking around in the app store, I found some that will perform this function, but that of course assumes you even got a text TO open. He tried to send it three times, I got nothing. What gives? I think I read somewhere that the update coming in July will have MMS text, so I can just wait for that. But why don't I get anything now?

I've read about the update as well. This is the single largest complaint I have with the iPhone. Typically, though, when people have sent me a message with either a picture or video, AT&T sends a message with a link to a website and a code to view the files. Perhaps you should get in touch with AT&T support and find out why you aren't getting that. Oh, and of course, make sure your friend is sending it to the correct number.
