Thunderbird for E-mail

I use Firefox as my browser of choice.
Thunderbird reminded me too much of Eudora.
Now, I use Pegasus for e-mail...it's very stable, won't open up stuff automatically unless you tell it to and it's free.
I don't know about syncing with PDA's etc.
