Thunderbird for E-mail
I have switched over to Firefox, thanks to info I got here a while back (I think from Doppy).
I am thinking now of switching over to Thunderbird. The issue I have is that Outlook doesn't really delete messages when I delete them, nor does it let me pass the deleted message to my eraser.
I have searched the old threads already, but am wondering what the latest opinions are on Thunderbird, and the conversion to it from Outlook.
Thanks in advance,
M8

the best tool you could ever have, only the second best to Pine!
(Pine is a text based email tool)
I'd strongly advise against outlook.
Thunderbird has much powerful search facilities
and its more stable, less prone to viruses and
and its free!

Just started with Thunderbird. It has everything Outlook has and it is free!
I do have a problem with sending EMails because for some reason our company EMail server does not recognize my password from Thunderbird. I have to use the cludgy package they make us use to send things.

I like it a lot, but at times it seems to eat a LOT of disk space. Worth cranking up the frequency of folder compression if you're on a laptop...
Much nicer than Outlook though! ^
