For those that are blocked; try using alltunes.com instead, and see if their application will work, they may not have been able to block that.

I wonder how much the RIAA is paying these ISP's to block the site? I'm convinced there is no way Earthlink would block it without something in return...

just the possibility of a 'threat of a lawsuit' could cause them to block it. Especially if the RIAA goes after the provider for aiding in the download of mp3's. Just imagine the amount of money Earthlink and others would loose in the preparation of a lawsuit. Cheaper to do a simple block.

What's puzzling is that, as an Earthlink cable modem subscriber, I am able to get to allofmp3.com. Earthlink typically leases capacity from a primary provider for both DSL and cable broadband. What's the likelihood that the primary provider is the actual "blocker" of that domain?

I doubt they are paying anything.

Maybe Earthlink has no interest having criminals for customers?

Please put down the record industry koolade. Sooner or later the RIAA extortionists will realize that their current business model is FATALLY FLAWED, and they will either adapt or go through a major industry-wide restructuring.

I have more respect for someone who holds up a liquor store than I do for the punks that steal copyrighted material. At least, the first admits what they are -- a low-life crook. The latter wraps themselves in rationalizations like "the business model is flawed". Both are low-life crooks who should be locked up.

A liquor store thief does not pay for what he/she takes. People who use allofmp3.com DO pay for what they download. Btw, I know several IP lawyers who use allofmp3.com; they pay for music, download it, and listen to it. The RIAA is like a union of buggy-whip-driving thugs trying to prevent people from being able to drive cars near the beginning of the 20th century.

Yes, I'm sure that having your music sold for $1 in Russia is far more traumatizing than someone walking in and shoving a gun in your face demanding money.

Poor artists will have to delay the purchase of that new gold plated Escalade for a few weeks. Boo Hoo Hoo.
