Yesterday afternoon I sat next to an exec from AT&T Wireless on my flight home from ATL-PBI.
I told him I was considering switching from my Blackberry to the Treo and he strongly suggested waiting for this new model to be released. He felt the keyboard design and key size are much improved.

I wish they would get rid of the T28 antenna.

What do y'all think?
I'm tempted to do a long-overdue upgrade from my kyocera "smartphone."

My wife has the 600, and as I look at the specs, the biggest difference to us would be the removable battery, that's a way better option then the huge snap on back up battery you can get for it now.
I'm wondering if there will be an upgrade route, since they have an upgrade features list. Unfortunatly, Sprint is currently saying no, but if you have bene a customer for 18 months they will give you the $150 off they give new customers (down to $449 from the $599 list).
C-net is also reporting that you can get them in November from Sprint, but not until sometime next year from anybody else, according to their story
"We will be the only ones with these phones for a while," said John Garcia, senior vice president of sales and distribution for Sprint PCS, speaking at a press conference at the CTIA Wireless IT and Entertainment trade show. "We are very excited about buying a very large quantity of these."
And of course, the cable is different, so any accessories you have now, well just buy all new ones.

They are talking like wifi will be an ad on in the spring, they didn't have the time to get it in place for shipping.

Phone, with spearkerphone.
MP3 player with 1GB of MP3's on board.
Camera.
Pushed real-time email and Outlook calander synch (I'm using Good, but there are mutiple mail solutions),
AOL/Yahoo/MSN/ICQ char client, 80kbps wireless modem (no, not WiFi, but there's a lot more Sprint PCS coverage than WiFi hotspots - and it's free/included)
Wireless access to area code lookup, whitepages, airline flight status, etc.
Sound recorder
Video recorder
etc.
Yes, it's heavy vs. just a phone. How much does a phone, PDA, MP3 player, camera, etc. weigh if you have to carry all of them?
As for the 650 - not that much a leap over the 600 to make me switch. A few nice improvements, but not the same as the 300 to 600 jump.

Wi-Fi: I thought they told us during a briefing (prior to the official annoucement) that there will be a Wi-Fi SD card for the Treo in the future. However, I can't find it in any of my notes.
Trade-ups: In the same briefing, they said any trade-up offers would be via the phone providers (Sprint, etc). Given that the 600 is not that old, I would not count on much in the way of upgrade offers. Hope I'm wrong.
