Sprint LTE
We're considering a new paygo 3rd party hotspot solution that runs on Sprint LTE. https://blog.yourkarma.com/announcin...go-lte-hotspot
Q1 How much data do I consume streaming a 2 hour movie from Netflix, BBC et al?
Q2 How much is my experience on Sprint LTE degraded using a VPN?
Q3 Is Sprint customer service good/better/worse than the alternatives?

Just curious - how is this "a different kind of hotspot than what the carriers are offering"?
It looks like the WiFi device I've been carrying around for 3 years with AT&T.
I've been with Sprint for 5+ years. MrsCP is with Verizon, and we tried the TMo Test drive, using rootmetrics's tester on a Labor Day weekend trip around the northeast to evaluate coverage.
When they say "It keeps getting better. Sprint's LTE network is still expanding.", that's a kind way of saying Sprint stinks and can only get better. The national coverage/throughput reports agree. If you go with Sprint, you're either comfortable with slower rates and sparse coverage, or are confident in their promises (I've given up - Verizon iP6 is sitting at FedEx as I type). Remember, these are the same promises from Sprint for the vast, expanding WiMAX network a couple of years ago, which this is obsoleting.
If you need to deal directly with Sprint - CS stinks. But hopefully, Karma would be the intermediary for you.

If you're using it consistently and more than 1gb/month, you're probably better off with the 2gb/month for $20 from FreedomPop as long as you get their LTE device. I think they're giving rollover for free right now as well, so building a pool of unused data could be helpful when a high-usage month rolls around, though that all depends on your usage patterns.

For a company that claims "Coverage is king", choosing Sprint as the network provider for their device is an odd choice.

Passed on the product/referenced in #1.
We're gonna try Sprint WIMAX 4G until it disappears in 14 months.
FreedomPop is sending a hotspot with 500mb data per month. Free equipment. Free data. Good Chicagoland coverage. My Lycamobile (TMO MVNO) paygo service will fill any gaps. I'm optimistic.
Inquiries about this deal promptly answered via PM.
