Just curious - how is this "a different kind of hotspot than what the carriers are offering"?
It looks like the WiFi device I've been carrying around for 3 years with AT&T.
I've been with Sprint for 5+ years. MrsCP is with Verizon, and we tried the TMo Test drive, using rootmetrics's tester on a Labor Day weekend trip around the northeast to evaluate coverage.
When they say "It keeps getting better. Sprint's LTE network is still expanding.", that's a kind way of saying Sprint stinks and can only get better. The national coverage/throughput reports agree. If you go with Sprint, you're either comfortable with slower rates and sparse coverage, or are confident in their promises (I've given up - Verizon iP6 is sitting at FedEx as I type). Remember, these are the same promises from Sprint for the vast, expanding WiMAX network a couple of years ago, which this is obsoleting.
If you need to deal directly with Sprint - CS stinks. But hopefully, Karma would be the intermediary for you.
