I have an ATT plan and activated a $10 day pass for travel to China and India. I also have an apple watch with numbersync. Does anyone know if the $10 day pass will carry over apple watch too or will they charge extra for the watch?

Oops: Sorry didnt realize this was Tmobile forum. Will post elsewhere.

Easter Island is a part of Chile. T-Mobile's web site (and prior experience) told me coverage was included in Chile. But Easter Island was not listed anywhere separately by T-Mobile. :once I got to Easter Island I discovered that our US phones refused to roam on either of the cellular networks there. Attempts to join the networks were rejected, so I never had the opportunity to pay an unreasonable rate for service. I didn't bother with a local SIM. With offline maps I was at least able to use our phones for navigation.

Just call Customer Service next time they’ll tell you exactly what’s going on, so you’ll know in advance

Is T-mobile One Plus still available to upgrade to for a month? I did this a few years ago when traveling and want to do this again since I'll be in Turkey and Croatia for a month. But I've now discovered that the Magenta plan seems to have replaced everything else, so I'm confused if I'll be able to upgrade or not. I am currently on the T-mobile One plan, and want to downgrade back to it as soon as I'm in the US again.

My T-Mobile ONE plan still has the 30 day, $50 15Gb upgrade available if that is what you are referring to? Here is a copy & paste from the website.

"15GB International Pass

$50.00 Includes up to 15GB of high-speed data, including Mobile Hotspot, PLUS unlimited calling for up to 30 days in over 210 destinations. Speeds & coverage vary based on device and country. Note: Once you use all your high-speed data, you will continue to have unlimited calling and data for the full 30 days but may experience slower data speeds. If you use all your high-speed data and purchase a NEW pass before the expiration of the first one, your second pass will begin immediately. Your original pass and any remaining benefits will expire when you activate the new pass."

I saved their press release from June, 2019, and here's what it says:

Starting tomorrow, June 5th, T-Mobile customers can choose from three International Passes when they’re traveling abroad. Each one includes unlimited calling and a high-speed data allotment in more than 210 countries and destinations. The add-ons are:
  • 15GB International Pass includes 15GB of high-speed data to be used up to 30 days for $50
  • 5GB International Pass includes 5GB of high-speed data to be used up to 10 days for $35
  • International pass with up to 512MB of high-speed data for one day at a price of $5

I do know this option exists, but $50 is more than I would want to spend for a month of data. At that point I would probably just get a local SIM.

The T-mobile One Plus upgrade was $10 per month, and came with unlimited international 3G data. So an upgrade over 2G with the Tmobile One plan, but not 4G like the option you guys are mentioning. I don't see it online as an option, unfortunately, guess I'll be stopping by a store next week.

It’s there go to my account on t-Mobile app and go to manage data

T-Mobile ONE Plus

$15.00/mo One Plus gives you HD streaming, 20GB of high speed mobile hotspot data, 2X the data speeds abroad compared to T-Mobile ONE in 210+ countries & destinations, unlimited in-flight data on Gogo-enabled flights to, from, or within the U.S., Visual voicemail, and Name ID. On all T-Mobile plans, during congestion, the small fraction of customers using >50GB/mo. may notice reduced speeds until next bill cycle due to data prioritization.

Thank you! Checked the app and all the upgrade options were right there. So much easier than trying to navigate the website.

Glad it all worked out for you. I use T-Mobile wherever I travel in the world and it’s been a great service to have

I've personally found the $35 / $50 options to be well worth it for extended trips. On other trips where I'm around work and hotels alot, I can work with the 1+ that I already have combined with wifi. Sure, I could go old school and get a local SIM, but then I have to deal with getting one, getting it setup, and having a different number. Usually those cost $10-30 anyway depending on what and where. For a few dollars more, I can just have it work when I hit the ground, and not have to deal with different phone numbers.
