Forwarding (or Copying) an iPhone Text Message
I received a text message on my iPhone 4s of which I need an exact copy for legal reasons. The message was sent as a text via email probably by using the domain of my carrier (e.g. vtext.com for VZW).
If I try to do screen shots, the message requires three overlapping screens.
Is there any way for me to forward of copy the entire thing at once?

Note (implied in the previous poster's post) that you can forward either to another cellphone # as SMS, or to an email address - although it will show as coming from your cellphone #

Is it possible to do that?
I have seen jokes on Facebook consisting of lengthy back and forths of text messages all on one image. Are these all Photoshop creations?

I think those screenshots (like from DamnYouAutoCorrect and the like) are simply from taking a screen shot and uploading. Sounds like you have a very loooooong text message that doesn't fit on one screen?

Here is an image from Damn You Auto Correct that clearly is bigger than I can get in one screen shot.

How do you do this?
Also, in case anyone asks, this is not my message and I think the answer is not very good: How do I print texts on iPhone?

I'm not an iPhone user but imagine it must be possible to download to a computer.
One such question, for what it's worth: http://www.itworld.com/answers/topic...ages-my-iphone

It's a total of about three sentences.

Try this app:
https://itunes.apple.com/US/app/id55...8&ign-mpt=uo=4
There are no headers on text messages like there are on emails.

If you are a Mac user and the message originated from an iPhone and you have iMessage installed on your computer or iPad you can set it up to send/receive text messages. Obviously, when I view my text messages on the larger screen I can see a string of 7 or 8 messages. Perhaps you could screen shot that?
I don't know that it will download the historical messages to a new set-up though.

To build on Longdrive's suggestion - I do have an iPad and an iPhone and have actually saved texts this way. RETEXT IT TO YOURSELF to your iPhone number when your iPad is on (if you have one) and the text will show up on both your iPhone and your iPad at the same time as long as iMessage is open and you're on a wireless connection for both. iMessage is automatically on your iPad if you have a new one, and should've been part of an iOS update on an iPad 2.
Yep - you can text yourself. Weird but true.
I would imagine it would work the same way on a Mac. My Mac is reaching its arthritic old age and I don't mess around with it much these days...replacing it in a couple of months.

iPhone belongs to Tom Tenant who is negotiating a lease. At the top of his Messages screen, you see displayed the name, Larry Landlord and then a series of messages like this:
February 5, 2013, 11:00 A.M.
Suppose we said $5,000?
Deal.
For legal reasons, one would have to prove that the messages were not manipulated in any way.

Not exactly. There are indeed dates and times. To be more precise, I'm looking for something that will enable the copying of something like this scenario:
iPhone belongs to Tom Tenant who is negotiating a lease. At the top of his Messages screen, you see displayed the name, Larry Landlord and then a series of messages like this:
February 5, 2013, 11:00 A.M.
February 5, 2013, 11:10 A.M.
and so on and so on. You get the idea. (Please avoid any discussion over contract, property or other law. This is a very basic example.)
For legal reasons, one would have to prove that the messages were not manipulated in any way.
