Multi-port USB charger?

I'm looking for something like the below image, but one that supports at least 1A per port simultaneously and preferably 2A per port simultaneously so I can plug in an iPad, iPhone, and Kindle and have them all charge as quickly as possible. The four port models I've found all seem to be 500mA per port max.

I found one model (link) that has two ports of 2A each, but I want four.

Does such a gizmo exist?

The one you linked to isn't particularly bulky, why not just buy two?

I don't recall seeing one YET, however I use this one.
Same thing 2 ports 1-1amp, 1-2amp works great with phone/tablet.

I suspect someone who is electronic savy could make/mod one for you.

The idea is just to carry one AC adapter for all USB-chargeable gizmos. I could just buy one of the 2-port ones and bring a separate 1-port one. Or I could buy the one whose picture I showed and, when I get an iPad, just bring its charger.

Just look at what the power output is for each port.

As explained in the original post it's not that simple. Typically these devices will supply 2A total, all to one port if only a single device is connected or 500 mA per port if all four are in use.

500 mA for virtually all of them.

I want 1A, preferably 2.

This is what I said above.

i am not sure what the kindle needs but the ipad needs 2A to charge, the iphone 500mA or 1.1A i believe.
my question is, why do you need four 2A?

Planning for the future.

I seriously doubt that there's a device that has multiple USB ports and different power levels for each.

i see, i got this recently and it works well so far, but i am still wary of some of the reviews, but i think most are for the 8,000 version:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details

but it is amazon, i trust i can return it if needed. while not what you were looking for, it is not as big as is seems and is also 240 for travel.

Did the Scosche QUSBH4 come up in your search?

Although I wonder if it is too big to fit in some outlets (given the cramped space in some of them). I almost think it would be better to have 2 smaller 2-port adapters than one big one.

I have resorted to carrying a few of these

Yes, I saw those earlier. What exactly are they? How do they make an iPad charge off a 500 mA power supply?

It will trickle charge, it just takes longer. I can plug my iPad into my regular USB port on my laptop and leave it there when I go to bed and it is fully charged in the morning.

Found this at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA07Y0849127

(I may have to look at it myself!)
